With Christmas and New Years right around the corner and Valentine’s Day looming over the horizon, it is very clear to all in the wedding world that it is engagement season, and with it comes new trends in rings that all brides-to-be will be more than happy to show off to all who will look. This season, experts believe that rings will be the perfect harmony between vintage and modern by combining old school styles with new school details.

Colored Stones

Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend may find that statement to be a little off in 2019. Colored gems and stones are making their way into the scene as the main stone of many engagement rings. The most popular ones being pearls, sapphires, and other blue stones. When accented with smaller diamonds the precious stones stand out more and help the ring become the center of conversation at the next family or work gathering.

Vintage Cuts and Settings

While the stones of the engagement ring are taking a modern twist, the cuts and settings of the rings are taking a vintage turn. In recent years most trends favored trinity stone sets or solitaire rings, but this new engagement season is seeing a rise in pear cuts and halo settings. This combination is creating a vintage style in a modern age.

Gold Bands

For the past few years, white gold, silver and platinum bands have been the most popular options for engagement rings; however, many soon-to-be brides are swapping out the cool icy metals for some that are a little warmer. The use of yellow and rose golds give the rings a distinct and softer look that can help the precious stones and diamonds really stand out and make them look more unique.
