A Fairytale Georgia Wedding
A Fairytale Wedding
Chris and Mary-Lynn had dreamed of getting married in the mountains. It was somewhere that was significant to this beautiful couple for a few different reasons, but also because Chris had proposed in the mountains of Italy. They were able to foresee such a beautiful dream wedding at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa.
Located in Young Harris, Georgia; this gorgeous venue is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains with stunning views and romantic details.
Family and Friends
Another wonderful thing about Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa was that all guests were able to stay on site and enjoy the entire weekend! The couple wanted to be able to spend as much time as they could with their family and friends so they started with a welcome reception the night before the wedding and ended the weekend with a farewell breakfast. This was a neat time to be able to share in the celebration of this marriage and spend time with everyone. Family and friends had traveled from different states as well as one particular bridesmaid had traveled from Germany to be a part of this special day. It was truly heart warming for the bride and groom to have everyone there.
Best Dog: Winston
A very special participant in the wedding party was the couple's dog: Winston. He walked into the ceremony with the Best Man and added a neat memory to the wedding day. The couple insisted that their fur baby take part in all of the celebrating and he did a fine job!
The entire weekend was amazing but there were several moments that stood out to the bride and groom. They were able to write their own vowels to each other. It started out being stressful but ended up being the easiest thing the couple did! Another special moment was when the groom surprised his bride with a perfume that she could wear and would always remember it being the scent for her wedding day. Even while getting ready, the bride was beaming with excitement and never stopped smiling.
Every girl dreams of her wedding day but especially dreams of the dress. It's what completely transforms every bride into a princess. Mary-Lynn got her dress from Alexia's Bridal in Raleigh, NC. She also ordered a dress by Ines di Santo that she custom designed. She was able to combine the different dresses into one, creating her very own dress that she had envisioned. Her veil was by Lian Carlo and her head piece was from Paris by Debra Moreland. Lastly the shoes! They were from Bella Belle Shoes and completed this gorgeous look perfectly.
Once the wedding ceremony had finished, everyone was able to continue celebrating this beautiful couple all evening! From the table decor, delicious food, special dances, and toasts; everything was absolutely perfect. A special toast was made by the bride's father. He learned the Swahili song from The Lion King and then led everyone in Hakuna Matata for his final toast. This was a very special moment between the bride and her father but also the entire wedding party.
And they were dancing!
Congratulations to this beautiful couple! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
