Peaceful Pastures and the Elegant Wedding of Lindsay & Matthew

The Bride & Groom

Lindsay & Matthew, a sweet couple from Roxboro, North Carolina chose to have a beautiful wedding at Cloverdale Quarters in Sutherlin, Virginia. This venue is set on rolling pastures that added a peaceful atmosphere to their special day. The accommodations were well suited to this couples liking, providing indoor and outdoor space for the ceremony and celebrating.

First Comes Love

This couple met through the bride’s brother a year prior and one of their first dates was at the North Carolina State Fair. Lindsay’s daughter, Maddi, also fell in love with Matthew and they instantly became a sweet family. Their love for one another and Maddi was seen and felt the entire wedding day. The bride’s desire was for her daughter to be included in all the festivities so she too, would enjoy every minute of celebrating.

The Preparations

The ceremony and reception turned out beautiful even though the night before, major flooding caused some panic during the rehearsal. When everyone arrived, there was 6 inches of water throughout the marbled event center. The staff at Cloverdale Quarters immediately went to work to get everything cleaned up and dry before the next morning. It took them the entire night to make sure not a drop of water was left to ensure the beautiful setting for their perfect day. There were several special memories for the day that the couple will forever treasure: some of the grandparents were able to attend, the grooms fingers were swollen so he had to wear his ring on his pinkie finger, and a sweet song sung by Lindsay’s brother and sister in law: God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Lindsay was also so excited during the ceremony that she didn’t even wait for the officiator to say: “You may now kiss the bride.” She took it upon herself to steal a kiss and everyone laughed to see her excitement.

Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Foushee

The weather turned out perfect and the photographer, Jaime Harris was able to take some romantic shots throughout the venue with a beautiful sunset that evening. The venue also allowed the couple to enjoy outdoor dancing throughout the night that led to an elegant send off with sparklers and cheer. It was a wonderful wedding that the bride and groom will never forget.
 Congratulations to this happy couple!
