Story: I woke up just like another other day. At 6 am to pretend that I was going to work. So she believed all day that’s where I was at. Drove over to my sister's house to hang out and get ready for the big day. Had the ring and the box all ready to go. I spent the day hanging out at my sisters. Until she had to go to work. So I was there with no car. Just patiently waiting. I decided to go to the bathroom and left the ring and its box on the counter for just a second. When I came back. I had noticed that her dog was chewing something up. When I went to look at what it is, the dog was holding the ring box. So I immediately push him off of it and look inside the box and notice the ring is missing. I am instantly freaking out. I get on the floor like a vacuum searching everywhere for it. After about 10 minutes I finally find it. So now I have no way to get to the store to find a new box. So I had to get an Uber ride 15 minutes away to my car and sneak past my girlfriend without her noticing. After I accomplished that, I was running to all different jewelry stores trying to find a ring box but no one had any. So the last stop was a Michael's where I finally found one, and then I could take a deep breath. So I rushed over to the beach where I knew she was going to be at later in the day. Made it there just in time. Got down on one knee popped the question. And she said YES! Such a wild event. This all happened within 1 hour before I proposed...

Story: Mitch and I met about 6 years ago on a blind date! I was a waitress and one night his parents were my customers, they told me I would be perfect for there son! Next day I had a date set up to go apple picking wit Mitch, and yes we were a perfect match!This year for labor day weekend we went to New Hampshire for a getaway. We drove up Mount Washington, and that is where Mitch popped the question! It was such a beautiful moment that I will never forget!

Story: Joe and I have been together since our senior year of high school. After graduating high school, and then college, we moved away from our family in Philadelphia, to Raleigh, North Carolina for work. Being away from family was hard but it was easier knowing that I had him. For the proposal, he took me to Duke Gardens for a date and the entire time over, I had no clue what he was doing. He even hired a photographer who hid in the bushes! We were randomly chatting and he got sweaty and quiet, and then down on one knee. I didn't even hear him ask "Will you marry me?!" because I was already crying from happiness. After he proposed, I was a wreck, but in the best way. BUT THAT WASN'T ALL! As we walked around the gardens for good photo backgrounds, we went to a koi pond that the photographer thought was ideal. About 2 minutes into the session, I feel a hand on my shoulder that does NOT belong to my fiancé. I turned around and IT WAS MY DAD! In fact, it was ALL FOUR of my parents (mom, dad, step mom and step dad) as well as his mom!!!!! He brought them down for the weekend because he knew how important it was for me to share that moment with my family! I will forever be grateful to have met my soulmate at just 17 years old - 8 years later, and I still know that he's the one for me. I'm so lucky to be spending my life with someone who truly gets me!

Story: We met one night at a bar, I flirted with him and asked him to take down my number. Cut to 6 years later. He proposed on Governers Island overlooking the Hudson River with Lady Liberty peeking through. We hope to have a destination wedding in Cartagena, Colombia.

Story: I flew home to see my three girls for my youngest daughter's birthday. She turned 10. I have not seen her for a year and a half. My ex had divorced me behind my back when I came to NY from SC, to take care of my mom who had cancer. I was obviously in a bad place. I met Mike and after a year of getting my life together, I knew he was the one. My mom beat cancer, I got closer with my sister and brother and I got a great job. I went to SC for my youngest daughters birthday and when I got home, this man, took me to a park and presented me with a ring that was my grandmother's setting, which he did not know about. I was in awe! I started bawling and said "yes!" I want our wedding to be enjoyed by my friends and family where we fell in love.

Story: Dave and I went on our first date March 12. On our date, he asked the owner of the restaurant if he could have a flower from the table so that we could always remember the first date. Three weeks later he got down on both knees and said: "I knew the moment you opened the door I would be with you forever." One week later we found a lump in his chest. We will be getting married on August 11th. I can’t imagine not spending one more minute with him.

Story: I met my fiancé through a social media site called Twitter on August 27,2016. Despite us being from 2 different states, we always made plenty of time to visit each other. My fiancé moved to Houston, Texas to be with me after he received his Masters degree from Jackson State University.On January 17, 2019, I became the future Mrs. Almo. My family decided to have a welcome back dinner party for my dad who just arrived back from a mission work trip in Africa. It was just my immediate family who I see everyday so I always feel 100% comfortable around them. I decided to come downstairs with my hair in a bun and a head wrap on my head. My fiancé saw me and said "I think you should let your hair down and take your scarf off." My fiancé wasn't the only person to tell me that, my sister also pulled me to the side and told me, I grew very curious then. After my dad gave us his souveniors from Africa, my fiancé pulled a big shoe box from behind our couch. Inside of it was a pair off Uggs that I always wanted due to the fact in Houston during January it gets really cold. Then, everybody pulls their phones out,my fiancé got down on one knee and asked the big question....I SAID YES!! We were super excited and that next morning i started my wedding planning. This feeling is a dream come true and I am extremely excited for my big day.

Story: David and myself had both almost given up on love. He was coming out of a divorce and I was coming out of a string of failed relationships and then we found each other. We were both scared to put ourselves out there again, but risked it all for a chance at love and it paid off. After dating for a year, we moved in together and a year after that he proposed! He made me think we were taking family pictures on Mother’s Day and surprised me and popped the question while we were surrounded by my family and friends. We couldn’t be happier to start this new journey together!

Story: After reconnecting with a childhood best friend (Esther) separated by distance, I was introduced to Foday, my finance today. I first met Foday and several others on September 30th 2017. It was Nigerian Independence Day, a huge celebration in our culture. Naturally after a night out, food was needed and place to continue the party. We all went back to a mutual friends home and spent sometime just having a good time around new faces and talking. That night I met Foday but did not notice him. Reconnecting with Esther brought several new faces in life. Many of them I began to recognize and become fond of. It wasn’t until the third interaction with the same faces, I noticed Foday had been missing since that Nigerian independence night. I became curious, asked around and found out he was very much around but out of town. It was almost reassuring as so smiled to myself. Two months later, I reconnected with the same group but this night, it finally included Foday. By this point I had become friendly with all of his friends. Happy to see each other, we all greeted each other and enjoyed the night. By the time the night ended, Foday and I had spent most of the night dancing and just enjoying each other’s company. (The song that now comes to mind by John Legend is “Good Night”) That night we were lucky enough to enjoy each other’s company until 7am in the morning just talking and getting to know more about each other. Funny enough, as we spoke that night I found out he too had asked about me but assumed I was in a relationship. As we continued the night, we went through a book I was gifted back in 2013 by my Marriage and Family counseling professor, called “If questions for the Soul”. By the time we went our separate ways, I felt like I had got to know the core of the same man I know and love today. Feeling optimistic about the poor dating world I had given up on, I picked up my Journal and decided to write a letter God and future husband. (I know call me crazy). The fact is, God has and will always and will always be a fundamental part of my life. In all I do, I look to him. In this letter I questioned God on the night but thanked God for the reminder that good men and real connections are still possible.......and some other things. 😉As our relationship progressed as did the peace that surrounded me. It was clear I had come into contact with “him”This past Friday on April 26th, a little over a year later, I said yes at the Minneapolis sculpture garden! The peace I felt has continued to grow for each of us individually and as a couple. On May 24th, 2020 I will have the honor to read the letter I wrote after I our first date as our vows.Our faith has always been the cornerstone and center of our relationship we thank God everyday for the blessing to find a life partner, friend and lover in life.

Story: I had been dating my (then boyfriend) for about 8 months before moving abroad to Munich, Germany, for a bilingual kindergarten teaching position. This began our long distance relationship. We talked daily & continued to build & strengthen our communication skills. At Christmas time my boyfriend came over to visit & we explored Germany, celebrated our one year together, adventured through Morocco, & rang in the new year at a Christmas market in Berlin. All the while, I kept my fingers crossed for a proposal. The trip ended with me being disappointed, & no proposal, but we continued to talk about our plans for a fall wedding & I started to think about the prospect of an engagement in the spring when I returned home.Meanwhile, back in the states... Caleb (my boyfriend) decided to make the proposal a reality & started looking at flights again, talked to my dad, purchased a ring, & planned a crazy surprise with one of my colleagues in Munich...Come the end of February, one of my colleagues & really good friends approached me with the idea of going out for a fancy "end of our contract" dinners together. Both of us were finishing our jobs at the kindergarten at the end of February, & she suggested they should celebrate! I liked the idea, & the we started planning what dresses we would wear. The evening before, & morning of the surprise proposal/"end of contract dinner", Caleb told me we wouldn't be able to have our normal time to chat over the phone. He was going snowboarding with a friend, would be out of cell service, & they would be coming off the mountain too late for the times to match up. **This was when he was on the plane & landing in Munich.**I went about my day like normal, & spoke excitedly with my colleague about our dinner plans, not knowing that Caleb was in Munich at that moment, sitting outside a restaurant, with his suitcase & a bouquet of roses, waiting to be able to check into his hotel & get ready for the evening.An hour before I arrived at the restaurant, Caleb got there & got the table all set up with the servers, & then moved to a different part of the restaurant to wait.I had been forewarned by my colleague that she might be running late & to not wait for her outside. Upon arriving, I asked the waiter for the table reserved for two for my colleague and I. I was brought to a table with roses & a note that said "open when you want to know how much I love you...". I immediately got the waiter's attention & tried to communicate in German that, "No, there must be some mistake. This couldn't be my table, because I was meeting a colleague." The waiter reassured me that it was my table & I sat down, but knew there was no way I would open that letter until my colleague arrived and she explained what was going on. The waiter continued to keep an eye on me & report back to Caleb that I hadn't opened the letter yet, & that he should wait a little longer. After about ten minutes, the waiter came over to me & told me, "You should open the letter because it is for you, & you should open it now."  Still confused, I opened up & began to read the letter (from Caleb). When I got to the end I read the words, "Will You Marry Me?". Looking up in complete shock, I saw Caleb walk in, get down on one knee, & ask me to marry him! **Spoiler alert, I said, "Yes!"**The rest of the evening was spent with Caleb sharing his story of getting to Munich, & me interrupting every two minutes, still shocked, to ask "What are you doing here?!"And just like that... We're Engaged!

Story: Hi WCWV, My name is Emma, and I am a new fiancé to my best friend of 8 years. I met my fiancé, Brendan Payne when I was a freshman at college in a small college town in the Redwoods. We met at a mutual friend's birthday party, and he swept me off my feet the moment we saw each other. He was a gentleman and walked me home to make sure I was safe and has made it his life goal since. After undergraduate school, I got accepted to graduate school in Miami (3,000 miles away). To say the least it was hard for both of us, especially unfair to him. Despite it, he was extremely supportive and waited an entire year while I was pursuing my dreams. We called each other every night, and in the end, it made us stronger than before. I had one more year to finish up my Master's in Hawaii. He was so excited that he uprooted himself from home and moved with me to the Big Island. 6 months later and it's my birthday. He surprises me with a horseback ride in the beautiful valley, green rolling hills, thousand-foot waterfalls, and beautiful taro farms. It was something out of a dream. We stop to take a picture in the valley. He gets off his horse and comes around to my side. He taps me on the leg and says "I know I said this was for your birthday, but I actually wanted to know..." he gets down on one knee and I lose my breath.. "will you make me the happiest man in the world?" I get off my horse nod my head yes in tears and he puts his grandmothers ring on my finger. We embrace and everyone around us is clapping in joy. We move back to California soon to make plans for the wedding. But having this man by my side through my best and worst times is all I want.

Story: My fiancé and I are high school sweethearts that met on a blind date 13 years ago. My fiancé proposed when we were in Iceland for his 30th birthday. He planned to do it in front of a waterfall. He knew which waterfall was the one when we were at the one and suddenly a rainbow appeared. He got down on one knee in front of all the other tourist and asked me to marry him. I said yes and he put the gorgeous ring on my finger and now we’re getting married after dating for 13 years! FYI he planned it perfectly because in about ten minutes later the rainbow was gone!

Story: Running late to my first game and unsure where I was suppose to be, I “stalked” a tall, dark, and handsome man who was wearing the same jersey as me. Little did I know I was following the footsteps of my future husband-to-be. Mistaken me as his evening opponent, Robert decided to keep his distance and not converse with his believed rival. Little did he know he would buy his teammate a diamond ring, take me to a castle, and get down on one knee. Future Mr. and Mrs. Sotomayor, (that's us) spent our first day together, playing back to back games at Ayala Park on the same softball team. We ended our unknown, special first night spending 3 hours conversing in the parking lot. We replicated an old friendship that was recently reunited but little did we know that a few years ago, we had crossed paths once before. Now, this June, we are thrilled to join our family and friends in celebration of our life-long future together.

Story: We've been dating over 5 years and every summer we always vacation in Tahiti, and prior to our trip we got a drone (the older one that needed the go pro hook up, so we used my go pro on his drone) and after a few flights it took a dip in the river and was gone. Shortly after that, my boyfriend decided to get another drone and I was totally against it because we just lost that one. But to my surprise it would come in very handy. Lol  While in Tahiti, we always try to travel to a different island and explore somewhere new. That trip we decided to go to the Pink Sand Beach (since seeing pink sand was my goal by 30).  When we got there, I told him I wanted to make a sand angel in a big heart and get a picture of that on the drone. After I got my picture and stood up, he told me close my eyes I have to draw you a better picture. Since he said ‘draw you a picture’ and not write something, I wasn’t suspecting a proposal of any kind. But to my surprise when I opened my eyes in the sand it said, "Will you marry me?", and the drone captured it all on video!! One of the most amazing days of my life in such a special place surrounded by nothing but hues of blue and pink sand.

Story: Brandon and I met through a mutual friend who felt we were soulmates. Well, seven years later we would have to agree with this friend. Brandon proposed to me on Christmas Eve. It was the best proposal ever! He took me to Celebration, Fl and asked me to marry him after doing a Cinderella carriage ride. He first gave me a Pandora charm that said all I want for Christmas is you,  +and then afterwards popped the question in front of quite an audience. Of course I said YES! We have been dating for over seven years and we will be waiting to do our wedding November 2020.

Story: I met my fiancé while we were on a cruise 10 years ago. I was 16 and lived in Kentucky and he was 14 and lived in North Carolina. Instantly we fell in love even though we were so far apart at a young age. We dated for 3 years however, naturally the distance became too hard to take. We broke up but stayed in touch all through the years. In February of 2018 I decided it was time for us to get a real chance so I moved to Charlotte. My second day of living here we went on a date and have been inseparable ever since. For Christmas 2018, we went on a trip to New York City with his family. We woke up on Christmas Eve and went to eat where his aunt and uncle from Hilton Head surprised us! After that we walked around and even saw an engagement take place on the ice skating rink! We were walking to go to the Met steps because one of my favorite shows was filmed there, little did I know, my mom surprised us from Kentucky on our walk there! When we got to the Met steps, Dayton and I had our picture taken and in the middle of the picture he whispered to me that he loved me so much and he just had one question for me. It was in that moment that I felt more excited than I have ever felt in my entire life. He then got down on his knee and asked me to marry him in front of everyone. We are for sure meant to be and I can not wait to finally be his wife after years and years of praying for it!

Story: We have now been together for 5 years and you learn to love all of their quirks. We went out to dinner one night and were just discussing things we wanted to work on and what our next investment was going to be. In the middle of the conversation he sneaks in that we are going to make my ring the next purchase while we are talking about what we need to fix on our house. Of course I don't take him seriously because it was so quick and I mean it wasn't really a question. He stops our conversation and goes well? I said,  "Oh you're serious" . He says yes. Of course in my nature I responded back with something smart. We went together and chose the ring. He has since asked. Not that the questions gets much better. I just know I'm marrying the least Romantic person, but it's one of his quirks that I've grown to love.

Story: We met online through Our Time. We both are widowed. We met for coffee which ended up lasting 2 1/2 hours. We exchanged phone numbers. He called me that afternoon and asked if I was free for dinner the next Monday, I said no...he said he wanted to cook me dinner. That was 3 1/2 years ago and we have been together ever since. We were at the Ronald Reagan Museum Tuesday March 5th. We stepped outside to watch the sunset when he turned and gave me a big kiss and asked if I would please marry him and spend the rest of our lives together, I said YES. We both are in our 70's. My family loves him and are so happy for us. He doesn't have any kids. We are so blessed to have found someone at our ages to spend the rest of our life with.

Story: We both had rough years when we starting talking in 2015. We started dating once I got back from my first trip to Disneyland that year. Fast forward to February 2018 we completed our first half marathon together down at Disney World. That summer we decided to be those crazy people a do a second race, this time the challenge (19.3 miles). For the record it was his idea to do the second race. We get down there on Halloween night and the next day we spent all day in a park. We had made reservations at The California Grill on top of the Contemporary Resort. We got there early enough to watch the firework show on the roof. At the end of the show he whispered in my ear if I would be the left shoe to his right. (His last name is Shoemaker :) ) I turned around and said of course! When we got back into the restaurant he had arranged for my favorite bottle of wine to served and the restaurant had even sprinkled Mickey head sparkle all over our table. It was the most magical night and vacation every! We completed the challenge and took so many "engagement" photos with characters, that it will be a trip I will never forget!

Story: On the morning of December 29, 2017 my fiancé and I were on vacation in Disney World and went to breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal table inside the castle. After breakfast the waitress came over with a plate with a glass slipper and rose pedals and my fiancé got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! After 15 years together he really surprised me! We have been together since the 6th grade and he was still able to pull off an awesome surprise and a great way to start our day at the Magic Kingdom!

Story: It was a cool and windy day on the coast of North Carolina that my sister was in town and visiting from Northern Indiana. We didn’t have any plans for the day and the kids were on a North Carolina version of a “snow day”, so we didn’t have many plans accept to go grab breakfast after my boyfriend had stopped into work for a short time. We arrived back home and my sister insisted we take her to the beach (which was only 5 minutes away) because she had to say she had been in the ocean on her college spring break at least once. The kids we’re excited. Being 5 and 6 years old, the beach is full of treasure and never gets old. So we bundle up and head to the water. We get there and start our hunt for the coolest rocks, seashells and shark teeth. As our treasure hunt goes on the kids both start running towards me with a bottle they had found somewhere along the beach. See now, the 6 year old is INFAMOUS for picking up all kinds of things he shouldn’t, so naturally I yelled for him to put the bottle down because who knows what was inside of it. Him and his sister keep running closer holding onto the bottle and shouting at me “Miss Jess look what we found!” Finally, they’re close enough that I could make out a painted white bottle with a pretty red and purple heart on it and a yellow piece of paper rolled up and sticking out of the top. They shout again, “I think there’s a message inside of it for you Miss Jess”, and plops it down in front of me. Of course I knew something was up at this point and I knelt down to read the message in the bottle. I was brought to tears by the words “Will you marry our dad?” Along with all kinds of creative drawings done by the kids. I stood up and turned around to see my best friend in the whole world on one knee holding that precious velvet box and both of the kids standing next to him with their sweaters off and hand painted T-shirt’s on that said “Will you marry dad?” He asked me if I would like to join their family and the kids both shot off little fire crackers with excitement as I said yes and went in for the best hug of my life. It was totally coincidental that I was getting to work the cash bar at a bridal expo that same week where I met a lovely lady who suggested I tell my story here.

Story: My fiancé and I were high school sweethearts that stayed together through college. My fiancé proposed when he got back from a deployment. I was graduating from college. He came back home the day of my graduation. Instead of getting on one knee in a public location, since that wasn’t our style, he waited till we were home.  We were cuddled up about to watch a movie and just enjoy each other’s company. Before the movie started he handed me a box and said “Marry me?”, I said yes and he put the gorgeous ring on my finger and now we’re getting married after dating for 11 years!

Story: I come from a teeny tiny place in Kentucky called Lovely. My best friend, since I was 4 years old, married and moved away the day she turned 18, moving to Maryland. Years later, I was 25, just went through massive surgery, and decided I needed to visit my long lost friend. She lived, at the time, directly beside Frostburg University and it was super easy to play Pokemon Go without hurting myself so soon after surgery. It was during a gym battle I met John. He used a cheesy pickup line, and I was obsessed. Over the next year and a half, I moved in with him. I got to know his severely Autistic Daughter. Fast forward another year, she is calling me mom. On Mothers Day, he got down on one knee with a Pokeball toy, inside was an engagement ring. He used the Ultra-Nerdy proposal of "I choose you", and went on to say, I had become everything and more he had hoped for.  A mother for his daughter, a home maker, and the love of his life.

Story: We were staying at a friend's place and had just gotten back from the store. While I was in the living room putting some things away he snuck the toy ring off of my cupcake. I went into the kitchen to get dinner started as I was I heard him say my name. I turn around and there he is down on one knee holding out this ring from on top of the cupcake. He looks up at me with tears in his eyes.  He proceeds to tell me how much he loves me and how honored he would be to spend the rest of our lives with me by his side showing me how true love is supposed to be.

Story: We were on a cruise for my birthday! We got on the ship and we put our bags down.  I went out on the balcony to look out and it was beautiful. I was a little tired though because we had been on a plane all day and traveling there to get there was hectic.  I laid down on the bed and Jeremy (my now fiancee) kept begging me to come out on the deck and I kept saying no, I just want to rest for 20 minutes, I was just out on the deck! He kept pleading, like, come on you can see my aunts apartment from here, the sun is setting, blah, blah anything to get me out there. I kept saying no it's only 3:30 the sun isn't setting and I already know what your aunt's apartment looks like. I was giving him a hard time! FINALLY, I decided to walk out with an annoyed, "What do you want", and there he was on the balcony, on his knee asking me to marry him! I was so taken by surprise and in awe!!! I was so happy!!!!!

Story: Myself and my now fiancé, Michael, had been together for a couple of years. I had already had a son and him 2 daughters, but we were an instant family! We both love music. Always going to every concert we could, mainly good ole fashioned country music. One day at a concert at Summer Fest, we were seeing Kip Moore he got down on one knee and proposed to me in front of hundreds if not thousands of people. I remember feeling like we were the only two there! Of course I said yes! We have been together for 5 happy years now with a new addition to our family and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world! We have been unable to get married yet because we have been saving everything we have to buy our own first home together!

Story: We had been together for just under 6 years. We were sitting by a bonfire and it started to drizzle. I wanted to wait until our anniversary but she looked so beautiful I couldn't wait. I asked her to go into the house to get us something to drink. I told my friends my plan and they grabbed the fireworks and set up. Mary walked back from the house and the fireworks were set off. I grabbed her hand and got on one knee. I said," I havent known you my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without you in it. Will you marry me?" She said yes while crying and spilled my drink all over me while hugging me.

Story: For my fiancé's 29th birthday I planned a trip to Universal Orlando and Disney World, as he had never been to either. I'm a massive Disney fan, so being able to share this with him was extremely special. He coordinated with my best friend, who lives in Miami and is a photographer, to be there with us for two days. I knew about her coming but what I did not know was his surprise to propose! We got to Magic Kingdom incredibly early, but there was still a crowd. I had already planned which ride we'd be going to first, so I was antsy for the park to open so we could get there. He was acting weird the entire morning, so I was trying to find him some coffee to perk him up. Little did I know, security found the ring in his bag and almost spoiled the surprise! We went to take a photo in front of Cinderella's castle when he proposed. There were so many people around taking their own photos of the castle that no one even noticed us! In fact, a kid rolled a stroller into his foot while he was on one knee! My best friend photographed the moment, and it was absolutely perfect. While I would have loved anything he gave me, the ring was custom designed to have Princess Aurora's crown in the profile with diamonds. He made our trip so magical, and it was truly a dream come true.

Story: My fiancé and I have been struggling financially and really wanted to get married however with out the funds to do so we thought we would have to wait a few more years . However I took my last 4 dollars literally and played a pick 3 lottery number here in MD and prayed and prayed and I could not believe it when I received text from my grandma asking me if I played my baby’s birthday this evening? I never play the lottery and for some reason I did and she watched and seen the winning number was 905 which is my 1 year olds birthday.. I won I won I won .. I screamed and woke everyone in the house up . My fiancé said that is awesome I said yes and I want to do something you would like to do (beings we have been struggling and we could not do anything for Valentine’s Day or our birthdays). He said the only thing I would LOVE to do is one thing .. I said what is that ? He said “MARRY YOU” I immediately broke down in tears and he said I don’t have a ring however I’m still going to ask and he got down on one knee and asked Will you marry me ? My son came running in with a Ring Pop LOL and said here at least use this (it was cute and adorable) I said YES of course and now we are planning our wedding for our anniversary is November 15th. Story: We have been together for nine years now, just taking our time. We wanted to make sure we were getting it right since we are older than the average couple. It was my birthday and my soon to be fiancé came home from his trip early. When he came home he sat my two daughters and I down, gave a beautiful speech and then proposed. It was such a surprise, but I am so happy that we are getting married!

Story: Many people would say we met in a not so traditionally way. My Fiance and I met on Tinder in 2015 and hit it off rather quickly. After a romantic date, and meeting the parents I know he was someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. He was the sweetest man I have ever met and there was just something special about him. When I met him his son was only a year old and from that day on we were inseparable, 4 years lady I'm lucky enough to be a parent to this little boy. The way he proposed was he brought me to a park down town which has a beautiful gazebo that's all lite up . From the first day I saw this park I knew this is where I wanted to get married. He brought me to the park to just look around to see it up close for "further plans".  As I'm walking around the gazebo he pushed me towards the middle where I was admiring the view. When I turned around he was on one knee with the ring . I immediately started to cry and even though it was one of the coldest days of the year I through off my glove and put on that beautiful ring,

Story: We have been friends for 10+ years. Over all those years the timing was never right for us to be a couple. We started dating (finally) in May 2013. On March 14, 2018 he proposed at home in our living room in front of both our daughters (one from a previous relationship of mine and our 4 year old daughter). When he got down on one knee I started crying, our oldest also started crying and our youngest looked around at everyone and exclaimed, "Why is everyone crying!?", which is a true testament of her personality. We are getting married this year on October 26. I can't imagine myself with anyone else ever and I really can't wait to marry my best friend in the entire world!

Story: I am one of the oldest living people in the world with half of a heart. I was born with a rare heart disease called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome & wasnt supposed to live long. I've had 4 heart surgeries, my last one 7 months ago, so my bf of 4 years bought me a Cruise to Mexico for when I was completely healed. On formal night at a Motown themed show with 500+ people in the audience, they called Freddy (my bf) up to sing (they were calling people up all night so it wasnt weird). Freddy said "I cant sing this song without my girlfriend, shes an amazing singer." So I happily went up there! The song "My Girl" started playing & we sang. Then it ended up just me singing but I wasn't paying attention to why, I thought he forgot the words. He had it planned with the cruise director & employees. The cruise entertainer then began to sing & dance with me, motioning me to come toward him. I went with it & kept singing, just trying not to trip over my pants & heels! The director turned me around and Freddy was on his knee with the ring out. Everyone went crazy, screaming, crying, cheering, taking pictures and videos. The volume of the cheers were so powerful and you could feel the love, happiness, and radiating energy throughout the room! We have so many amazing pictures because he set it up to have a photographer! I said YES of course and the pictures show how in shock I was. I almost dropped the microphone! I truly never thought I would live long enough to be engaged, but here I am, starting to plan my wedding with the man of my dreams, whom I never thought would love a girl with a bunch of health problems. Story: We met briefly while in school to get our mechanical engineering degrees. I didn't know him, but I had a little crush on him the whole time we were in school. I had a boyfriend at the time, so I just didn't think about it.  A year after graduation, my old boyfriend and I broke up. I was on Facebook and so my former classmate and I decided to message him and ask him out!  We've been together ever since. Over the Christmas holiday, we were on a family vacation in Captiva, Florida. There was this little 100+ yr old chapel literally on the beach (look it up its adorable). They had the most beautiful canopy of Christmas lights all around it. Well he asked me to go on a scooter ride one night and we stopped by the chapel and he asked under the canopy of lights with sounds of the ocean in the background. Then we got to go back to the house where my whole family was waiting to celebrate!

Story: December 6th is my now fiance's birthday. Last year he turned 30. I set up a surprise trip to the Poconos with all of our friends for the weekend. His birthday was on a Thursday and we weren't leaving until Friday night, so I opted to at least take him to dinner and a movie. I made reservations to a restaurant that was near the movie theater. When I finally went to book the movie tickets I saw that they were unavailable. I cancelled the dinner reservations and went to plan b. When plan b didn't work I decided to check the movie time again and it was available. YAY! I called the restaurant back and made the reservation again. After making the reservation the woman on the phone said, "I don't know you and you don't know me, but make sure to look your best tomorrow."  I immediately call my mom thinking that I must have won something totally oblivious to what was going on. My mom told me that the lady was crazy.. LOL  Earlier in the day my sister-in-law said that she and the kids wanted to surprise him with a cake and they would be at his parents house. I was all for it. We go to the movies and then to dinner. Let's just say I didn't win anything. Finally after he is stalling for what seems like forever and in my head I'm like we have to get to the freaking cake, we finally leave and head to his parents house. We get in front of the house and I see the cake lit through the window. I let him go in first, so that I can record the family singing happy birthday to him. I'm recording him we, finish singing and I hear more cheers then it should be. I turn to the living roam and see all of our friends, so I say what the hell are you guys doing here. Still oblivious to whats going on. Everyone laughed and I turn back around our niece then says, "Uncle Kevin what did you wish for" that's when he gets on one knee and said, "I wished for Auntie NaNa to be my wife."  Needless to say I lost it. My mom pops out then I see my sister. It was so emotional and honestly one of the best times of my life. He flipped the script on me and that was the most selfless thing he could have done on his 30th birthday. Oh and the Poconos turned into an engagement celebration. :-)

Story: It was the perfect thing at the imperfect time in my life. I got hurt at work, my father was very sick (it was our last holiday together) but it was exactly what I needed. Christmas is my favorite time of year, and as we sat in bed together with my favorite Christmas movie on tv- White Christmas- I opened a present only to find a ring box inside, and he got down on one knee and proposed while we were both in our pajamas. It wasn’t elaborate or fancy and it was a difficult time in my life, but I knew when he asked me that he’d always be there to help me through those times, and I was more than happy to say yes! <3

Story: A Picture worth a thousand words. My now fiance and I planned a trip to Australia after 4 years in a relationship together. We both live in Texas so it was a long travel experience for us both, that turned out to be the best time of our lives, to date. It was his 30th birthday and he is extremely into tennis, the Australian Open was happening in Melbourne, so those were the main reasons for going. On his birthday toward the end of the day we went to the beach to set up his Go Pro and take photos of us on the beach together. After a few minutes of posing he started saying sweet nothings and knelt down on one knee, I immediately knew what was happening! He proposed to me and got it all on camera! Smart man. Later, after looking at the pictures I realized there was a big and beautiful rainbow right behind us. If that isn't a sign I don't know what is :-)

Story: My kids and I went to Houston to celebrate my deceased cousins Dirty 30, and his mother’s 52nd birthday on 12/15/2018. Their dad stayed home because he had to “work.” To my surprise, I walk onto my aunt’s patio, to everyone outside with their phones in the air. I hear my mom yell my name, as she’s holding up my 10 month old with a shirt on that read “Mommy will you,” my 3 Y.O was standing next to her with a shirt that read “Marry,” next to him was their father on his knee with a shirt that read “Me?” I broke down in tears. As I’m typing this I’m crying. My now fiance had it all planned to the T.  He flew in and popped the question, in front of everyone that means the most to me. We’ve been rocking on and off for a long 7 years. I love this man, and I am over the moon excited because I’M GETTING MARRIED to my best friend!

Story: This past Christmas we were able to visit my fiancé Chad’s family for a holiday for the first time in 8 years. Right before leaving, the day after Christmas, his grandmother wanted a word with him. I didn’t think about anything of it, but he came out nervous and muttering “this is it”. He then told me to come over in front of the Christmas tree and he knelt down and asked me to marry him. He then gave me his great Aunts 60+ year old engagement ring that his grandmother had held onto for the past 40 odd years. It is probably the best moment of my life at least for now.

Story: We were high school sweethearts in 1974-75. We had both had unsuccessful marriages the first time around. We hadn’t seen each other in over 40 years when we ended up seeing each other because of a mutual friend. We both knew something was up. After a year of texting and getting together a couple of times as just friends, we couldn’t deny the feelings that we were meant to be together. He proposed and we’ve been inseparable since.

Story: On January 11th, one week before our 5th year dating anniversary, my fiancé met me at my college apartment and brought me to one of the famous fountains at Meredith College. He told me to look around and take in every detail of that particular day and time. He then told me how much he loved being with me. He told me that he loved my family and loved being with them. He said that he could not live without me and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

Story: It was less of a proposal and more of a demand. (In the sweetest way ever) After laying in the bed, my fiance turned to look at me and said "I'm tired of you being my girlfirend, I want you a my wife". He then slid the ring on my finger and it's been a beautiful, wedding planning rollercoaster with my true love. After meeting via phone in 2015, we finally met in 2017 in person and were engaged in 7 months. Our entire love story proves how we were #MeantToBe!

Story: Summer 2018 we were discussing our future, since we are both military and want to be together once we graduate. I told him I wanted to get married and he bought a ring a few weeks later. He wouldn’t propose though, he wanted the perfect opportunity and to ask my mom for her blessing first. By the end of the summer we took a road trip to PEI for our friend’s wedding. The night before we went out to an amazing restaurant and he was taking candid pictures of me when I turned around and saw he was down on one knee. It was a beautiful way to propose. He couldn’t stop shaking for an hour after since he was nervous. But of course I said Yes! And it has been a new adventure for us since.

Story: Well, we have been together about six and a half years. He took on a role as a Step-father to my son, and we had a beautiful little girl together. We had made a nice little family together. We had talked a few times about marriage. That we knew we wanted to get married, but he wanted the perfect ring, the perfect engagement, the perfect wedding. He knew not many of those things mattered to me, I just wanted to marry him, have him become my husband. On December 4th, 2018 (my own mother's birthday by the way), he asked me to come home early for my lunch break. I wasn't able to, but I came home at my regular scheduled time. As I walked up the pathway to our home, I noticed a chair sitting on the porch. I wondered why in the world there was a black chair there. Then I noticed something on top of it. It was two roses (my favorite flower) sitting tied together. A laminated note was attached. The note had the title of the very first song we listened to together. Below the title was a love note, that he wrote for me. I went inside, thinking this was very sweet of him. I still had no idea (I also had no idea he was watching my reaction from our bedroom window). When I walked in the door, there were two more roses, with another laminated note. This note had another one of "our songs" with a love note attached to it. I read it, looked to my left and there were more roses, tied in two's, trailing up the stairs. They each had a laminated note attached to it, with one of "our songs" titled on it, with a love note. Each love note was written by him, telling me about his feelings on our relationship, his feelings about me (I should add that he isn't a very emotional person in general, sharing his thoughts and feelings doesn't come easily).When I reached the top of the stairs I was in complete tears. I walked into our bedroom and he handed me the last two roses with the last note. As I read it, he got down on one knee, his hands shaking, he asked me to marry him. He has truly made me the happiest woman!We do not have a wedding date or venue booked just yet. Hopefully soon!

Story: Marc and I got engaged on Christmas Eve before my first ever Patriots game. We dated on and off in high school; then for 5 years in and after college; then again 5 years later for 2 years before he popped the question. I had no idea that he was going to propose. We got all ready to go to the game, and he insisted on taking a photo before we left. He actually set his phone to record, got down on one knee and proposed!

Story: On Christmas morning he made coffee brought it to me with a black bag that had a holiday bag in it. Where there was a box. He got on his knee and asked for my hand. I couldn't say nothing but cry. After a few minutes I said yes. But I still continued to cry.

Story: Let me just say I knew, but I didn’t know when this moment would come to pass. Anyhow, the Tiller’s take an annual Disney trip during the holiday season to simply getaway and enjoy family. I asked my parents if it was okay for me to go on vacation with the Tiller’s and miss Christmas in Michigan. *Yes, I’m grown, but I still ask my parents for permission* My parents approved and I was super excited to go to Disney since I haven’t been in decades! OK, you all! I had this brilliant idea of having both the Tiller’s and Douglas’s link up for vacation in Florida. I asked my family to come down to Disney and enjoy some nice weather. And guess what?! My parents and my sister’s family made arrangements to make the trip. I was thinking 🤔 wow that was easy!! Little do I know I was being set up. Korrey asked several weeks before the trip what attractions I wanted to do or see while we were there. I really didn’t have a preference I was elated to be on vacation for a week. He mentioned he had a friend in Orlando that is a photographer and we could do a photoshoot together. Korrey knows I love being in front of the 🎥!  At first I said no because I was thinking about a “fitness” photoshoot which I was not in a fitness type of shape at all. The post competition blues took a hold of me. Lol Korrey kept pressing this photoshoot and I finally gave in. Day before the proposal: My dad came into my room and told me how Korrey is a really nice respectable guy and he likes the way he treats me. That’s was great to hear because my dad thoughts 💭 about previous guys......haha  Day of the shoot: My parents, Korrey, and I walked to the resort gym for an a.m. workout. Immediately after the workout I had to get my belongings together for our photoshoot. As I am getting my bag packed my mom came in my room and asked what I had in mind to wear for the photoshoot. So I showed a few ideas and she nodded her head and left back out.  Fast forwarded a couple hours: Korrey & I finally arrived to the Disney Boardwalk and we are ready to shoot. His so called “photographer friend” Jessica was truly amazing! However, Korrey and Jess never said anything about past experiences or mentioned anything referencing their friendship. No, biggie! That was the least of my worries we were having a great time. At the tail end of our photoshoot, I glanced over and I seen some familiar faces dashing across the boardwalk from who knows where. It was that moment when I knew “IT WAS ABOUT TO GO DOWN”!  Korrey asked for my hand in marriage when we went to Michigan way back in July. I can’t believe my family knew about this for 7 months! Way to keep a secret y’all P.S. Jessica the photographer was not a friend of Korrey's!

Story: My fiance is in the Navy and is currently stationed in Japan. It is so expensive for him to come home and very difficult because of the importance of his job in the military hospital there. This Christmas was going to be another year without him and almost a year since I had seen him... so I thought. On December 14, my doorbell rings; and in the doorway is my wonderful boyfriend. I don't think I've cried so hard in my life! He tells me the next day his mom had set up family pictures that following Friday and she would like me to be in some of them. During the photo shoot the photographer told me to turn around and stick my hand out to him to hold and I was going to look back at him. As I turn around, I see the most loving, caring, and wonderful man I have ever met in my life, down on one knee. I naturally started bawling and his whole family was there which made it that much more special. After I finally stopped crying my eyes out the photographer was able to capture some of the sweetest pictures which I will cherish forever! Not only did my other half come home for Christmas, I get to spend forever with the most amazing man!

Story: My fiancé and I have been together for 6 years, all of which were long distance. He lives in North Carolina and I live in Canada. Before Christmas, he came to Canada secretly and with the help of my best friend, searched and found a beautiful Christmas walk of lights. My best friend got me to go with her to visit the place under false pretences that it’s the last night that’ll it’ll be lit, so we have to go see it. He was hiding behind some bushes and when we approached a beautifully lit bridge, he walked out, handed my best friend a camera to take pictures, all the while I’m trying to register that it’s really him and it was as if everything blacked out around us. I started crying as he got down on one knee and proposed. He made it so perfect and thoughtful, I couldn’t have dreamed it better myself.

Story: Dj is a fireman. Every girl dreams of marrying a fireman, right!? Well what they don’t tell you is that fireman work 24 hour shifts, and you have to watch Netflix alone on those nights, and ALSO, there is “mandatory over shift”. Mandatory over shift is basically putting your life on hold. Therefore, Dj was of course on mandatory over shift this past weekend. THE weekend. That was until Friday night when Dj got called in to work a 24 hour shift on Saturday was supposed to be a surprise date...... Saturday morning rolls around and Dj wakes up and proceeds with his typical routine. Coffee. Shave. Coffee. He kissed me goodbye, and I grabbed his arm (to tell if he had is uniform on or if I was being punked) and sure enough, the uniform was on. WELL DANG. There goes ‘THE weekend’. Secretly pouting, I fell back asleep. I woke up the next morning to a bottle of champagne, a love letter, and a nail gift card. “Thank you for being so amazing and never complaining about my inconvenient schedule”. I’m a great pouter. My mom and I went to get our nails done with my best friend, Chloe. Meanwhile, Ginger, Dj’s sister, texted me to meet up for lunch. Everyone (except for me) wanted Mexican! After devouring queso, we stopped by the cutest boutique. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with another love letter. I was told that Dj wanted me to pick out my favorite outfit. The end of the letter said to enjoy an ‘Aperol Spritz’ at our favorite spot. After going on a mini spree, we all walked over to the brewery, Good Word. Good Word had a “regulars” photo allum that Dj and I had made our way into. When I walked in, the Dj handed me the scrap book with a letter hanging out of “our” page. Another love letter. This time it said to go to our first date spot to enjoy my last surprise. *Remind you, dj is at work, still* and there is no chance of getting off shift. After a few drinks, everyone suddenly has plans. My parents and I were going to dinner anyways, so my mom suggested we go there for dinner and simultaneously get the last surprise. Dj and I had our first date at ‘Local Republic’ in downtown Lawrenceville. A charcuterie board you can not resist. We pull into the parking garage at the square, and it begins to rain. Not a pouring rain, but the mist type of rain. Most of the time I hate that type, but tonight was different. With our umbrellas in hand, we walk through the square to the restaurant. We are about to cross the street and a fire truck pulls up. Two fireman get out and ask if anyone had called 911. “No?” my mom squeaks out. Before I know it, two more fire trucks and an ambulance arrive, and they shut down the streets. The door opens and Dj hops out. My jaw dropped, and I couldn’t control the tears. Grabbing my hand and putting an umbrella over the both of us, we turn to walk towards the gazebo in the center of the square. Complete with candles, lanterns, and dazzling lights, Dj lead the way down the sidewalk. As we got to the center of the gazebo, I blacked out. I honesty felt like I was in a Halmark movie. I came to as soon as he got on his knee, and I couldn’t control my emotions: “I think I’m going to throw up,” I cried as I squeezed him tight. “YESSSSS,” I screamed as I did what was probably the ugliest cry of my life. As soon as we kissed I heard a crowd cheering... all of our best friends and family were celebrating us in the rain! It was the most MAGICAL experience I could have ever dreamed up. Not only did Dj go above and beyond to make me feel like the most loved woman on earth, but he continued the surprises with an after party (full of more of our friends & my co workers) and a bulletin board with my most favorite pictures of us. To top it off, he surprised me with a trip to our favorite spot to spend quality time together, Chateau Elan. I could not have imagined a more special engagement. However, returning to my students and seeing THEIR excitement was the cherry on top!!! #GODJTHATSMYDJ

Story: My fiancé (then boyfriend) and I went out to visit my cousin, her husband and new baby in Colorado the week before Christmas in December of 2018. We planned to travel to and stay in Breckenridge, Colorado for a few nights when visiting, since there is a lot to do there. We booked a sleigh ride dinner through the mountains for our first night in Breckenridge as well. The sleigh was pulled through the snowy mountains by two large horses and was very romantic, the sunset through the mountains was beautiful and everyone was snuggled up with blankets cozy on the sleigh. The sleigh took us to a small cabin in the middle of the mountains to a candle lit dinner. When I got off of the sleigh, my then boyfriend, Mike, asked if we could take a picture in front of the sleigh and horses. We got in front of the sleigh and when I turned to look at him he had gotten down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Following the proposal we enjoyed a beautiful candle lit dinner with champagne and romantic acoustic country music serenading us by one of the ranch-hands from the place that ran the sleigh rides on his guitar.

Story: The year 2008 is when I asked him to be my boyfriend. He was a shy, handsome young man that my heart truly belonged to. Fast forward a decade, I asked him, "Will my finger ever have a ring on it", he looked me dead in the eye and said, "It can, only if your propose to me". Jokingly he laughed, I was serious. I told myself I shall propose to him, get on one knee and ask him to marry me. So I did, I told the jeweler my story. They were in awe. I purchased a ring for him, size 9, I thought that was big enough. We had a graduation for him, his first neice/nephew gender reveal, and my surprise proposal. It was time to open presents. It was my moment. I poured my love out onto a paper, telling how much I love him, I blind folded him and said don't peek I have a surprise. I lit the candlelit bags, with the words "Marry me"? I was on one knee behind him with the ring in my hands. I told him, "You may remove the blindfold", it was a moment to remember for eternity. He turned around and I popped the question, "Will you marry me"? His breath was taken away and his eyes were filled with tears of joy, that all he could do is lift me from my knee and hold me tight as he was trembling and told me to never let him go. I asked, "The answer"? He said, "Yes"!

Story: My fiancé and I have been together for 2 years. He came from a not so good family and when we met I helped him get back on his feet. We now live in together in a house we rent. We have been talking about getting married, but he couldn’t really afford the ring he wanted to get me. I told him to just get me a cheap one, and I just wanted to marry him, but he wouldn’t. He finally saved up and bought the one he wanted to get me.  He proposed to me on  Christmas Day with my family. He said it just felt right.

Story: Jon and I are high school sweethearts who have been together for over 10 years. We’ve been with each other through everything. School, finding jobs and learning to be adults. We basically grew up with each other. We went on a beach vacation to the Dominican Republic last year and he took me for walk on the beach where he had lanterns and dinner set up. He asked me to marry him and there was no other answer than yes. He has always been my soulmate.

Story: My fiance did everything a little different. Lol Instead of romancing me for months before proposing, he purposely picked fights with me and did his very best to lead me to believe he hated me! I was really starting to think something was up...is he leaving me? So one day on his way home from work he literally called to pick a fight with me over a bet I made in a football game which, just wasn't him! (He is not a petty person!) So I just hung up on him because I was sick of him being a jerk. He gets home and walks in, and he said,"I just don't think this is going to work", and I just stared at him with what had to be the saddest eyes ever.  I said, "What do you mean?" (Because we have always been able to quickly work through any argument we have ever had and have always been able to laugh about it minutes later) He said, "Somethings gotta change", and I said, "Okay, what needs to change?"  That is when he got down on one knee and gave this beautiful speech about how I have changed his life. How he can't picture his life without me in it and asked me to be his wife! I was totally shocked! The ring was absolutely breathtaking and it was literally my dream come true! After I said yes, he proceeded to tell me that he had been picking fights with me on purpose so he could throw me off and catch me completely by surprise! I wanted to kick him! But at the same time it was super sweet. He told me he wanted it to be a complete surprise and since he knew I would notice almost $1000 missing from our account (for the ring), I would be asking questions, so he did everything he could to make me think marriage was nowhere in our future! He's such a turd, but I wouldn't have it any other way! It was perfect and the speech he gave me during his proposal could have made up for a lifetime of a-holeness, it was that good! I couldn't be happier! Now we just have to figure out how we're gonna pay for this wedding! We just might have to have the good old fashioned courthouse wedding :(

Story: Juan and I met in a very unusual way. He and I were on a dating app called Plenty of Fish (POF). He reached out to me about 5 times over three weeks. Always the same message... " Hi, saw your profile, liked what I saw and just wanted to say hi." I finally wrote him back and said "Hello." Seriously that was all. But we talked like crazy from then on. October 27th of 2015 we met for the first time. And around that time there was "construction work" going on at my apartment complex, right in from of my kitchen window. There was a HUGE hole in the ground and I was so mad. I tried to find the workers and complain but never could. Well when my Juan and only came to meet me he had all his children (4) and I had mine (2). We were gonna take them to trunk or treating at the local mall. He still needed to finish his daughters hair and sat at my kitchen table. I apologized for the hole and he just laughed and said "No I should apologize. I dug that hole." My company is over here putting in pipes for your complex extension." I seriously couldn't believe it! Well years past and on our 3rd year anniversary he took me out to Punch Bowl Social and we took my first ever photo booth pictures. Then we went dancing at out favorite place La Rumba. I felt so happy and lost in him that I told myself I don't care if he asked this year... Well at 1:40 am we finally got home and I was taking my time getting out the car. We had to park across the street from our house so I was trying to hurry and catch up with Juan. Once I got to the sidewalk and saw him on his knee I freaked so bad! He said " I ask you in front of my parents house, will you marry me?" As he was saying all of that I was squealing louder and louder... " You mean me?! ME?!? ELISABETH HARRIS?! ME? OMG! ME?!? YES!!" And yes I cried. Like crazy. Little did I know there was a woman coming over. She told my Juan that she thought something was wrong but When she saw him standing up she noticed what was going on and didn't want to disturb our moment. But that she had to call the police and tell them never mind about a DTP complaint. #mybad

Story: My boyfriend of 3 years is in the Army and taking a vacation is impossible since during our time off, we can only have time to visit our family. Well this past September, I finally convinced him to take an actual vacation instead of going to go see family. I looked online and fell in love with Clearwater Florida. I booked the hotel and got our flights for Labor Day weekend. As soon as we got our hotel room, I stepped outside our balcony to take in all the beautiful views. That's when my fiance came out to join me and gave me a gift. I opened it and it was a beautiful watch. I asked what's the reason for the gift and he said, "I wanted you to know what time it was when I proposed to you," as he got down one knee and said, "Will you marry me?" Without hesitation, I said, "Yes, of course!"

Story: I grew up in Niagara Falls, New York. My college friends were all from the New York City and Long Island area. I decided to move downstate when I was 25. I visited a sorority sister who was living in Howard Beach, Queens. She took me to Gold’s Gym and I fell head over heels for Anthony Calore in 1997. We dated for a while but the timing wasn’t right. He went on to marry and have four children. Anthony became a widow last year and we reconnected. He asked me to marry him on Christmas Eve! My dream man from the late nineties is now my fiancé and I am 47 years old. Dreams really do come true!

Story: I'd like to credit my job as a 1st Grade Special Education teacher as the reason that Bryant and I are together. When I became a teacher I never knew that my profession and my love for cute little 6 year olds, particularly those with special needs, would lead me to the love of my life. Ironically, Bryant's mother and I met first and became pretty close during her tenure as a paraprofessional in my classroom for one of my students. One day I and the little boy whom she works with both wore matching black and white striped sweaters. It was as if we had purposefully planned our outfits. As a result I asked Bryant' s mom to take our picture since we were dressed as twins for the day. Afterwards she asked if she could have a copy of the picture and I sent it to her without a second thought. Eventually she ended up showing her son the picture so that "he could finally see the child that she worked with as a para", (although I've always believed that she showed him the picture because she thought we'd hit it off lol). Well... he liked it and wanted to get to know "the beautiful woman in the picture", as he told his mom that it was just something about me that he liked. Honestly, I like to think that it was the Holy Spirit telling him that I was "The One". 🤗 Anywho, his mom ended up telling me about his interest in me, and after showing me his picture I was definitely open to the idea, he was HANDSOME. So I gave her my number to give to him, and honestly... the rest is history. Our first date was the beginning of our forever and we share the sentiment that we complete each other. Bryant was not my only blessing in this union. I also gained two loving stepchildren; a daughter who is 27 and a son who is now 12, as well as a grandson who is now 8. His son had tragically lost his mother to cancer when he was 4 years old leaving Bryant as a single father. The moment that I met his kids we clicked, and according to Bryant that never happened before. I love his children as if they are my own and I thank God for assigning me the honorable job of stepmom to them both, and especially Byron who truly needed the presence of a mother figure in the absence of his biological mother. On Christmas day, December 25, 2018 Bryant proposed to me in front of our closest family and friends. Saying YES was the easiest decision that I have ever made. I can't wait to see what our journey has in store for us in the years to come!

Story: My fiance took me on my dream vacation to Maine back in October. It's always been my dream to drive up the coast in autumn and look at all the beautiful foliage. He then proposed to me at the bed n breakfast we were staying at only 6 months after dating. When you know, you know. And I've never been more sure about anything in my life.

Story: Jesse and I have been together for nine years. He knew that I was going to be his wife when we met but I wasn't so sure. Through ups and downs, times or plenty and times of scarcity, he's been by my side. In September 2017, I was excessed from my teaching position of 4 years. I was distraught and saddened by all that happened. On the day that I had to say goodbye to my co-workers and students, Jesse suggested that we go out for a drink to get my mind off of things. My work friends had invited me out for drinks also. I went out with my friends and decided to go home instead of meeting Jesse when he got out of work at 11pm. Jesse decided to go out on his own and didn't get home until 3am! He woke me up and decided it would be appropriate to go to the neighbors for a drink at that hour! It was our neighbors birthday so I obliged. When we returned home an hour later, our dog had gotten into the garbage and Jesse began to frantically search through his work bag for something. I let him be and began to clean up after the dog. When I got into our bedroom, Jesse began to play with the dog. At one point, he pretended to fall off the bed and "landed on his knee". He went on to tell me how much he loves me, how no matter what happens he'll be by my side and that he wanted nothing more than to be my husband. I was in shock and all I could say was "are you serious!" He asked again, and I said "Of Course!"
