Story: My fiancé took me to my favorite restaurant as a date night without our son, and after we request dessert he “ran to the bathroom” then came back all awkward. Our waitress brought our dessert out and he was looking at me all funny and the waiters and customers were all watching us and he got on one knee and proposed with an ice cream molten lava cake. Best day ever!

Story: Shaun and I started dating in November 2016 and have been inseparable since. At the time we started dating I shared custody of my daughter with her father that allowed me "days off" to be able to spend with Shaun. One day in March 2018, my daughter's father dropped her off at my doorstep with all her belongings and told me he was moving out of the country and she was my full responsibility now, without even a discussion. I jumped on this opportunity to be a full-time mom with everything in my heart and soul, even though this meant that I no longer had "days off". Shaun and I discussed at length our dreams and desires of providing my daughter with a positive stable environment.  We became a team of navigating through the transition of our new lifestyle. He was my strength and insight through this time my daughter needed me more than ever, she had just lost her father. On the weekend of July 1, 2018, Shaun's friends who were engaged came into town and wanted to have a get together with all their buddies. My parents agreed to have my daughter for the weekend, so Shaun and I could spend some alone adult time together. On Sunday morning, we woke up in each other's arms and didn't want to let go. We went out on his porch to enjoy the morning sunshine, coffee, and company. We engaged in a beautiful and serious conversation of how we are best friends, how happy we are to have each other, how we couldn't picture our lives without each other, our dreams and ambitions of where we want our lives together to take us, and eventually getting engaged and getting married. He told me he wanted to marry me. I, of course, told him he would have to first ask my father. And within seconds he was on the phone asking my parents for my hand in marriage. After my parents gave their blessing, he started calling jewelry stores looking for a ruby engagement ring. He told me ever since the cruise we went on, when I was admiring the rubies, he knew that was exactly what he wanted to propose with. Next thing I know we were excitingly and lovingly in the car on the way to the jewelry shop, within minutes we found the ring of our dreams. The ring needed to be sized, but he told me and the jewelers that he wanted to hold on to it for a moment before we had to give it back. Hand in hand with the biggest smiles on our faces, we walked out of the jewelry store and he sat me down in front of the fountain. He stood up and started to yell loudly “ladies and gentlemen, everyone gather around, I am about to ask this woman to marry me”. People stopped, took out their phones to record and take pictures, and he started to approach me with tears of joy in his eyes. He got on one knee and said, “would you do me the favor of being my woman, my life, will you be my wife?”. I immediately said yes, leaned in to kiss him, as cheers of the crowd in the background celebrated the most amazing and special moment, so far, of our life and relationship. On July 1, 2018, my best friend and love of my life proposed to me and without a doubt, in my mind, I said yes!!! We are so thrilled, excited, and exceedingly happy to complete our family of three, we can’t wait, and neither can my daughter!

Story: When Adam and I first started dating he was on Summer vacation (he is a teacher). While lamenting that he was bored, I suggested that he paint me a picture so that he would have something to do. Well, that painting never came. That same Summer, I forced Adam to watch one of my favorite movies, which is also my favorite book “Pride and Prejudice”. Now Adam, isn’t as much of a fan of Jane Austen as I am, but he loved me so he was a good sport about it all. Fast forward to December 23rd, 2017. I am getting ready to go to work before heading up to my parent’s house for Christmas, and Adam, while still laying in bed, says “I think you are going to have a good day!” Now, I already knew Adam had a ring because, well, he isn’t sneaky, so my mind automatically went to the idea that today could be the day that Adam finally proposes! These thoughts were confirmed by all of the ladies at work. When I got home, Adam had my favorite lunch, grilled cheese and tomato soup, waiting for me. Adam, clearly nervous, was trying to get me to rush my lunch because he had a present he wanted to give me before we left. After I finish, Adam gives me a rectangular gift and tells me I have to open it in a specific way. I open the gift. What I see are three canvases, he finally painted me something! On the first canvas was one of my favorite “Pride and Prejudice” Quotes- “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you”, the second had another quote- “You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, I love, I love you.”, the third- “Will you marry me?” and the rest is history! We get married in 6 months!

Story: My non romantic boyfriend planned an incredible surprise that swept me off my feet. He told me his friend was throwing a surprise birthday party for his wife at the beach. Little did I know he had every detail planned out from making sure my nails were done, my hair was done, and our closest friends would be there to surprise me. He truly outdid himself. The morning of, I had plans with my girlfriends to get my nails done ( didnt know he was the actual mastermind who set up the morning with my girls) He also made sure I had my hair done, got dressed up and even figured out a way to have a four legged fur son join us. As we got to the beach just in time to catch the sun set, we walked down the path to what lead me to lanterns lit in the shape of a heart, surrounded by our closest friends. My first thought was our buddy was so thoughtful to be setting this up for his wife. When I turned around my boyfriend asked one of our friends to please take a picture of us in the middle of the heart before the "birthday" girl arrived. As I hesitated to walk into someone else's heart to take a picture. He gets down on one knee to let me know that all this was in fact for me. I instantly broke down into tears and said yes. He surprised me not only with an amazing engagement but he also showed me he can be incredibly romantic. A day I will never forget.

Story: I’m the most difficult person. Matt planned the engagement about a thousand times and I kept ruining it. He planned to go to the ice cream shop we had our first date at, but I stopped eating dairy. He planned fancy drinks and dinner, but I refused to do all that because I was too busy studying for my law school exams. He planned to go on a walk - I tried to invite my parents along. Finally, he got me in the right place at the right time. One of our favorite running trails and the light was to be perfect (he scouted it out with our best friend who set us up while he had a migraine). I walked past the spot. Why would I slow down when we were out there to get exercise? Then I saw our friend hiding and figured out what was happening. He pulled out his grandmother’s ring and referenced a question I asked on our first date - what took you so long. He was tired of waiting and asked me to be his wife. When we got back to his car after, he handed me a box full of letters from our friends.

Story: On August 20, 2016 the love of my life made an important decision in front of all his friends and family that would change the both of our lives forever. Larone Jones asked me a question that most women fantasize about from the time that they are little girls. Moreover, my best friend asked me to marry him? In response, I said yes, externally while screaming yes internally. I was blown away, if I could relive that moment every day I would. Growing up as a little girl being raised by a single father I was taught how a women should carry herself and during that time of growth and maturity I knew what type of man that I wanted to marry. I wanted to marry a man that would respect me, know my worth, know my value, honest, trustworthy, responsibly, mature not only in age but mentally as well, and have a good sense of humor. Furthermore, throughout these five years Larone actions has spoken louder than his words. I want to marry Larone because we have truly brought the best out of one another, by knowing each other’s strengths and weaknesses. I have such a peace of mind sharing my life with him! I could be myself around him, I could talk to him about anything, and I feel protected in his presence. Our friendship is vital having a best friend is someone that you love, cherish, talk to every day, can’t wait to see and spend time with. In addition, so as I marry my best friend let our friendship (marriage) last forever.

Story: My fiancé and I have been long distance since April 7th, 2018. If you're counting (because I am) that's 8 months, 25 weeks, 247 days, or 5,928 hours. We live 740 miles apart and have seen each other for a total of 28 days over the past 8 months. Before that, we spent a blissful year of small-town college dating which solidified the fact that we wanted to be together; what really helped us fall in love and daily choose the other was our experience over long distance. You see, love is real (I mean as real as your birthday real), but often times it becomes a choice because life just isn't as peachy-keen as a Hallmark movie makes it out to be. Anywho, fast-forward to November 14, 2018. I had come back days earlier to college after a fall break spent together laughing, reminiscing, and falling more in love with my man, Tre (that's his name, by the way). I attend my only class of the day, came back to my apartment to make some bread dough, and one of my roommates walks in announcing that she had a friend with her. I turned around only to see the sweetest smile I've ever known. SURPRISE! Tre had flown the 740 miles back to our small college town to surprise me and attend my class ring ceremony (a HUGE deal at Clemson University). We spend a glorious afternoon hitting our favorite spots (namely Bojangles and my apartments couch) and just enjoying the fact that we could be in each other's presence. A nagging feeling that this visit contained more than met the eye stuck with me, but it for sure wasn't on the forefront of my mind. The next day was the class ring ceremony. I attend the ceremony with an inkling that, "This could be it." The ceremony concluded and I had a ring on my finger . . . just not the one that I'd been dreaming about since I was a young girl. I concluded the night with a pounding migraine, a few vomiting episodes, the kindest boyfriend who comforted me through it all, and a contentment in marking another milestone with the one who I wanted to mark the rest of them with. The next morning included more nursing school for me and visiting of old friends for Tre. When I got home I baked some cookies for my honey and moseyed towards getting ready for our 5 PM dinner. If you know Tre and I were notoriously a few minutes late to everything so when I say "moseyed" I mean I was still in my nursing scrubs, un-showered, and unaware of what I wanted to wear, and plans to help Tre iron a shirt at 4:30. At that time, Tre scooted me out of my own kitchen, telling me that I needed to get ready, and that he didn't want to be late. This was my first clue. My intuition kicked into high gear and my first thought was, "Why does he suddenly care about time?" promptly followed by "I'M GETTING ENGAGED!" but just as quickly followed with with, "DON'T THINK LIKE THAT!? WHAT IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN?" Nonetheless I took no risks and took my good and sweet time getting read for dinner thinking, "Well if I am getting engaged tonight, I may as well look the part!" We left around 5:10 (classic) to go to our favorite restaurant Tueplo Honey (this is also the same restaurant Tre asked me to go to before we started dating, waited three minutes while I read the text in shock, and promptly came up with an excuse as to why the date would not work out [but don't worry he's made that mistake up multiple times with many dinners spent there since then]). We hopped in the car and drove about 2 minutes, until I was told that we were taking a walk before dinner. Intuition-heightening-moment #2: We don't take many walks. Don't get me wrong, we think it's cute and healthy and all that, but that's just not our thing. Anyway we parked the car and walked towards a gazebo in Clemson University's Presidents park. The walk was short and we stood under the Gazebo just holding each other in the brisk Fall air. He looked at me and asked if I knew the legend. I knew about it, but let him explain, "Couples who walk hand-in-hand through President's Park are known to fall in love, get engaged and live a long happy marriage together." Intuition- heightening-moment #3: I mean, this one's pretty obvious, but talking about engagement. With me. In the place where Clemson students had long been proposed to. He proceeded to read me the most beautiful letter I've ever heard, get down on one knee, and ask me to marry him. I said something along the lines of "Yes, yes, a million times yes!!" and kissed him quite a few times. His family and my best friends popped out of the tree lines with shouts of joy and celebrated the beginning to our forever. The two of us drove, in pure elation, to Tupelo Honey and enjoy a delicious dinner and just stare at each other and this shiny thing on my finger that made the promise that we would get to do life together. We drove back to my tiny apartment and inside its walls were all of the people who we hold most dear, champagne, cake, photos of the engagement (already printed, go roomies!), and a feeling that would sell for a billion dollars if it could be bottled. Safe to say nothing about our story has been easy or simple, but it has been our kind of perfect. Here's to our kind of perfect for the rest of our lives.

Story: My engagement story started with my best friend, Beth, showing up at my house in Auburn, AL late one night with her phone in hand videoing me with a confused look on my face as she handed me a bottle of wine and a letter from my boyfriend, Nick. At this time we had been together for a year and a half. We lived about an hour and a half apart. The letter in short, told me “Pack your bags. You’re not going to work tomorrow, you’re going on an adventure!” Nick had called my boss & secretly gotten me off work for the next 5 days. The letter told me he wouldn’t be talking to me throughout the next few days, but he wanted me to send him pictures along the way of our adventure. The last part of the letter was a clue..the clue led us to the airport! Early the next morning, my best friend and I went to the Atlanta airport. Once we arrived she handed me the next letter with the 2nd clue that told me we were flying into Boston, Massachusetts! Once we arrived in Boston, I was given a 3rd letter/clue that sent us to the Sam Adams Brewery for a scheduled tour. I didn’t know it at the time, but Nick was already in Boston with his parents. I found out later that he arrived in Boston the day before to get everything ready. They went on the tour hours before us and left another letter with the tour guide to give to me at the end of the tour. That letter/clue led us to the nicest hotel in the heart of downtown Boston that had the most amazing view of the city. Once we checked in at the hotel, the front desk staff had the next letter/clue for me that led us to a Red Sox game that night! Nick knew it has always been on my bucket list to sit on the Green Monster during a game. We arrived at the stadium. I was in awe. Little did I know Nick and his parents were at the stadium and they could see us when we got to our seats. Nick snuck to my section and spoke with one of the stadium employees. He told him what was going on and the employee delivered my next letter to me at my seat! Talk about feeling special! The letter explained that he was unable to get us seats on the Green Monster, but he got me as close to it as possible. My seat was so close I could almost reach out and touch the wall. We even made an appearance on tv during the game! It was so much fun! This letter told me that the next day we would be going to Salem, Massachusetts to explore for the day and after that we would be heading to Portsmouth, New Hampshire for the night! Beth and I are both obsessed with Hocus Pocus, so Nick had looked up addresses to some of the movie sites for us and sent them to her. So she and I spent the day taking some amazing photos while exploring the movie sites & the town. After our Salem adventures, we headed to Portsmouth and checked in at our beautiful hotel on the water. Following this we headed to our dinner reservation that Nick had made for us. That night at dinner, I received my final letter that told me I was exactly 1,332 miles from my front door. The final clue led me to the Portland Headlight in Maine the next day at 11 am. There, in this breathtaking scene, is where I found the man of my dreams down on one knee with one of our favorite songs playing! After I said of course YES, I looked up a small hill and saw that on top of sending me on the trip of a lifetime, he had also hired a photographer to capture the best moment of my life! Nick told me he even offered to fly my parents up for the adventure, but they were unable to go. Nick later informed me that he had spent the last 6 months planning this scavenger hunt trip for my best friend and I to embark on together. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. It felt like I was part of a movie and our engagement was so much more amazing and beautiful than I ever possibly could have dreamed! That final clue said “I am a beacon of hope, through the toughest storms. I am elegant with beauty and breathtaking at times. I stand tall for all to sea, now come find me!”. Nick later told me that he picked the lighthouse as our engagement site because that description in the clue is what I am to him. I am such a lucky woman to be blessed with this thoughtful, romantic man that loves me and I’m so grateful that I get to spend the rest of my life with him!

Story: Brent and Kara love travelling so in June of 2018, after 5 years of dating, they took off to Africa to tick off a major bucket list item: climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. After 4 days of hiking up towards “base camp” and acclimatizing to the high altitudes, it was finally time to make a summit push. They got up at midnight to begin their ascent, and after 6 hours of hiking in the dark and bitter cold, Kara and Brent finally reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro! As they were taking in the breathtaking views of the sunrise, Brent asked Kara to get a picture with him. Kara was impressed by Brent’s initiative, as usually she is the picture taker (often to Brent’s dismay) in the relationship. As they sauntered over to the crater’s edge, Brent was rather particular about where Kara should stand (which she was secretly annoyed about as the horizon was huge and, in her mind, it therefore didn’t matter where she stood). At this point, Kara was also picking up on some anxious vibes from Brent, but she chalked it up to the the lack of oxygen at high altitude. After their guide snapped a couple of pictures of the happy but exhausted couple, Brent started frantically digging around in his jacket pockets. Kara assumed he was looking for his iPhone to take some more pictures with a different medium....when all of a sudden a red box came out of a pocket instead. At this point Kara still didn’t clue into what was happening (again, hypoxic brains), until Brent got down on one knee in the snow and asked her to marry him. The rest of the proposal was a blur... in fact, Kara even forgot to say yes!

Story: Julio and I had been in the dating scene for a while and we both "swiped right" and he asked me on a date for gelato. There this Australian girl fell head over heels for this kindhearted Colombian man. We were inseparable and took a trip to his homeland to meet his parents. Beforehand he had asked my dad for my hand in marriage and the cheered over a whisky on ice. Over a sunset wine and fireworks in gorgeous Cartagena, Colombia Julio asked me to marry him. We took a horse and cart around the Old city and then celebrated with his parents. He has brought warmth and love to not only me but my family adore him. We couldn't think of a better place to marry than Colombia bringing our cultures together.

We started with dinner and afterward went to a nearby river walk, just as we did on our first date, because we just didn’t want the night to end. Story: Actually funny story he actually proposed after day three of knowing me. It was simple he just asked and I said sure why not? I just knew. We met in school and I was living with my aunt at the time, he came over to study on day 2 and ended up staying over. He was supposed to leave before everyone woke up but there was a freak snow storm and my aunt ended up staying home from work. She is very strict and ended up finding him in the closet (I was 22 at the time) and ended up not being able to live there anymore. He offered to live with him right there and we have been together ever since. We went to nursing school together and now we have our own place and are better with our families than ever. We are very happy with our 2 dogs and chinchilla :)

Story: Luke and I have dated on and off through college for about 5 years. He asked my dad for permission to marry me on my birthday while he had me occupied with two friends spending the day in Philly for my birthday. Afterwards, he came for that weekend to visit because I thought he was at work the day that he was actually asking my dad over lunch to marry me. Three weeks of lying and fake fights then happened to make me believe that marriage and engagement rings were the furthest thing from his mind. I had planned a girl's weekend with my friend in Lancaster because I had become so upset and needed to vent about Luke and how I was questioning if we were on the same page and wanted the same things. The Thursday before he proposed, he even started a fake fight about rings and at one point said that maybe we should stop talking about rings for awhile. So safe to say I was pretty upset and thought I would be crying to my friend all weekend about him. However, I was pleasantly surprised and was proposed to instead at the beautiful Formal Gardens at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. I had absolutely no idea; I didn't even have my nails painted! But it was unbelievably perfect. My fiance had planned the perfect surprise and had friends hiding to capture it on video. He even had his phone recording him in his pocket so we could remember what he had said, since most people forget immediately after. We then went to have a fancy dinner and I was surprised the next day with an engagement party with our immediately family and closest friends. It was the most perfect engagement and weekend of my entire life and the ring is absolutely perfect. It was better than I ever could have imagined and I am so happy to get to marry the love of my life soon!

Story: Johnny and I met online a year and a half ago. We met at a bar on the beach and after one drink in a noisy and distracting environment, we decided to continue our conversation on the beach. We spent what felt like hours getting to know one another. Our first year of dating was met with challenges and difficulties. I was a new nurse working night shift for the first time struggling to balance my schedule, he was in school. Then I lost my mother to Parkinson's. Johnny was so kind to my mother. I knew he was the one for me when he visited her in the hospital on her birthday with flowers and a gift. She loved him too. When I lost her he was so kind and supportive to my four siblings and I. He is truly a part of my family already. On October 14th I was recovering from a minor emergency surgery that forced us to miss a planned trip to Texas (where I believe he had intended to propose). He stayed with me in the hospital and cared for me at home. When I was finally feeling better he asked me if I wanted to get a drink and some pie. I was so excited to go out for the first time in a few weeks. He took me to the spot on the beach we met and we had the most delicious pie. The whole time he was talking about how nervous he was our first date, and how lucky he has felt every day since. I told him I was the lucky one. His kindness and patience and unwavering support and love has given me so much already. After our pie we walked around on the beach and at the same place I fell for him he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Story: Devin and I met a month into our freshman year of college and have been together ever since. We both share a love for traveling so it was only fitting that he proposed to me on one of our trips. In the months leading up to our trip to Iceland Devin had me convinced that he wouldn't be proposing to me until the following year so I did not expect it at all. Both of us had been looking forward to going to Iceland for months and finally booked it for February of 2018. The first full day in Iceland we decided to drive to some must see places, including Skógafoss Waterfall, which soon turned out to be the spot he asked and the background to our incredible engagement. As we walked up to the waterfall it was cloudy and lightly raining, we took a few pictures at the base of the falls then hiked up to the top for a better view. As we came back down to the base again the rain had stopped and a rainbow had come out right over the falls, it was a perfect photo-op. Devin and I looked for someone to take our picture and he found two girls (who I'll forever be thankful for) to do it. I had already walked away when Devin handed them the camera but he quietly asked them to just keep shooting and they did (we have easily 100 pictures documenting the best moment of my life thanks to these two strangers). Devin and I posed for what I thought was a regular picture, but the second he turned to face me I knew exactly what was about to happen, he got on his knee and I immediately started crying. Through tear I said yes and he somehow managed to get the ring (a beautiful marquise which was given to him by his grandmother) on my shaking hand. This moment could not have been any better. A waterfall behind us and rainbow overhead made for stunning pictures and even better memories. Now we can't wait for our 2020 wedding to celebrate with family friends.

Story: Our story began 8 years ago we met while working at the Convention Center in New Orleans and have been inseparable since. The day my fiance proposed was very special.  We were on vacation with friends and just bent down on one knee and said, "Will you marry me"?  He kind of, through hints, made it known he was ready to settle down and take it to the next step. Throughout our 8 years we have been through trials and tribulations some ups and downs and some hiccups in the road. But through it all our love for each other have always been there. So one day we just decided to step it up a notch and make it official.

Story: We were sweethearts 38 years ago.  I met him after I graduated from high school, funny thing is we went to the same high school.  He graduated my freshman year, I went into this little place in town called the Silent Clown he was the bartender there, and it was like love at first sight... so a week later I took a girlfriend up there to show her how gorgeous he was, but when we sat down he was leaving, his shift was over. But when he clocked out he came around the corner I kicked her and said there he is.  He came right over to us and sat down. OMG right beside me, my heart was pounding my stomach had butterflies, I couldn't even talk. He asked us how we were doing and she had to answer .The funny thing is that Melissa was the shy one. He thought I was playing hard to get. Now that's funny. I fell hook line and sinker in love with him. We started dating, and then we moved in together, we were together for about three years , and we ended up going our separate ways because we were so young, and he was into hanging out with his buddies, instead of settling down and getting married. You see that's what I wanted all along, but he wasn't ready for that, so the day I left was the day one of his buddies was getting married, and I wasn't envolved in it at all because his buddies soon to be wife stole my parents wedding rings out of my jewelry box, and David wouldn't listen to me, he thought I was trying to mess it up for them because it wasn't us getting married, So they left to go do something and I packed up and left for good, but before I walked out the door, I decided if she can steal my parents rings then I can take David's best man clothes, so I did. I tried to find him years later to no prevail. I did get his phone number about 20 years ago, I called he answered, we spoke briefly, he said to me I'm married, I couldn't handle that fact so it was short and sweet and we hung up. I thought he must be happy, so I'm just going to leave it alone. Then about 7 years ago he started looking for me, and on August 17th, 2018 I received a phone call and it was David on the other end of the phone.  We talked and talked and talked about the past and how we were both not on the same page, and that he did love me, but was afraid because we were so young. I guess I was the pushy one back then.  So in September he came up to see me, we were together for a couple of days, and it was almost like we had never been apart . But then he had to go back to his hometown which is Key Largo Florida. We decided to meet up again in October, so we both drove halfway to a place in Savannah, Georgia called Happy Acres, and it was the best 5 days of my life. David asked the question that I so wanted to hear 38 years earlier... Of course I said YES! We both cried, but it had to come to an end as well. I didn't want to leave and neither did he.  David went back to his hometown and I came home to go back to work too. We talk on the phone everyday and every night, trying to figure out how and when. Now it's like we are in limbo. I'm 56 and he is 60 but we are going to get married and start the last chapter of this book together. It's been a long time coming.

Story: I planned a special surprise for Vicente's birthday. I guess, by the grace of God, that time frame was not available. Vicente, my love, had suggested we make the trip around our anniversary instead. They had these days available. 😊I planed the trip. The date came and we had an amazing time. Blessed with a beautiful sky & rain. (We love rain❣) The next morning we had a cool day, with out any rain. (We love cool days as well.) We were getting ready to go, almost all packed. He surprised me, to say the least! I was standing in front of him and he keeled down. He started to speak, but I felt I might be in the way of what he was trying to do. I started to move to the side but he jokingly said "why are you trying to run away ?" I chuckled, but felt faint and leaned towards the couch. He held on to make sure I was was stable, brought me closer and chuckled to himself. He then said, " It's been a great 4 years together, will you marry me?"As he asked I began to feel the blood leave my face, neck, and continue to go down to my knees...My lips were tingling and I was waiting for that to stop. I realized it wasn't going to stop and blurted out yes! He held on tighter, which was perfect since I felt weak. I told him I think was losing blood pressure, he said he could tell. He said it was like watching a faucet with the blood leaving from my face on down and I turned pale white. It took all my strength to stay standing. I gave him a big kiss. As far as Bella (my daughter) knows, he waited to ask me in front of her... he gave her the ring to give me and we reenacted it in front of her. Which of course made her excited. 🖤💜🖤💜

Story: We’ve been dating for 8 years. He took me to Bar Harbor Maine for an autumn foliage vacation. We drove 20 hours. On our last day of the trip, we climbed rocks to view the sunrise right on the Atlantic Ocean and so he could fish. He casted his fishing rod and after a few moments he told me he got a bite! I went over there, and he started reeling up the line. Attached to it was the ring box. He then kneeled and proposed right there!

Story: Originally I was super excited to celebrate both my birthday and my alma mater's homecoming on the same weekend. I made plans with two friends that I went to school with since we are celebrating 10 years since graduating. We went out that Friday and had a blast. Saturday (which was my actual birthday) arrived and I was feeling great! My plan was to hang out at home with my boyfriend, Ronnie, and our son that morning. He told me that he made reservations (which he NEVER does) and was taking me to a birthday lunch that afternoon before I started my evening with my girls. After scrunching his face at my plans to wear jeans and a nice top, I changed clothes and we left. Excited to try a new place, we walk in and Ronnie walks right through the restaurant! (He knew that we were late and people had been waiting.) I ask him what he was doing and he tells me that he reserved us a private table (which he has definitely NEVER done). As he opened the door to this private room, I walk in and see most of the people that I had talked to that day! My girls in town for homecoming, my parents and siblings, my cousins from out of town, and some of our mutual friends were all there to surprise me. They totally got me!I was shocked and thought that was it. After greeting people and getting over that initial shock, my sister says that they are gonna sing happy birthday to me. She brings me over my personally made Reese's cake, they sing, and I still think that's it. I actually thanked everyone for coming. Then Ronnie says that he bought me a special gift that is on top of the cake. I take the box out (still clueless because I know Ronnie and his joking spirit) and didn't realize what was happening until he got down on one knee. From there, I lost it! He then had me look into the box only to find MY ring. The same ring that I had fallen in love with a couple of years prior during our random ring shopping trip. I didn't know that he had circled back and gotten it then, but once I got laid off last year he lied and told me he couldn't afford the ring I wanted. S that is when I super lost it. Everything else is a blur, but I know that I said YES! Everyone had already planned to attend our engagement party back at our house that night, so we left the restaurant and headed there. We went and had an absolute BALL! I actually never made it to any homecoming festivities that day, but it was totally worth it. Best birthday ever!!

Story: This past summer, Andrew and I took a trip of a lifetime and toured 19 cities across Italy. While in Florence, my tour director, Mario, told the group that he had something special planned and would need Andrews help lifting some stuff. Off they go, leaving me to wander the beautiful city with newly made friends. Later, Andrew and Mario return saying we need to make the next public bus. We were going to Piazzale Michelangelo, to watch the sunset over Florence. However, the bus didn't stop for us! But as fate would have it, Andrew was going to propose to me because a tour bus passed, stopped, and drove us up. We were then taken up to the top of the steps of a church. At the stroke of 8 pm, the church bells were going, the sun setting, and I turned around to help my fiance with something. To my surprise, he was down on one knee! After a lot of happy tears, laughing, and a pounding heart, I said yes!! We ended the night with cheers and champagne from the tour group as they were all in on it!

Story: My incredible fiance and I have been together for eight and half years. We recently got engaged on September 17, 2018. He had this beautiful plan for three years that he refused to deviate from, but as life often does, it didn't go to plan. Our favorite vacation spot has been the Outer Banks in North Carolina. We hadn't been able to vacation since 2015, but finally had the opportunity this year. This was it for him, he had it all planned out and ready to go, but after being on vacation for 27 hours, we received a phone call with a family emergency that called us home. We were devastated. We had waited so long for this vacation and had really needed it! After we packed up everything we had just unpacked, we loaded up the car and started the ten hour journey home. Before we were off of the island, we were talking about everything we were going home to and I had a mini meltdown! That's when he decided that we were going to see the ocean one more time. I was so busy in the car trying to dry my tears, that I didn't even pay attention to him digging in the back of the vehicle!! So, we walked to the ocean and just stood there for a moment until I heard something hit the sand. He had brought along the conch shell I had found on the beach the last time we were there and planned to use it to hold the ring. Instead, he had to use it as the distraction to pull the ring from his shirt pocket. When I recognized the shell, he said "this was supposed to be in it". He continued to say the most wonderful things including how this wasn't how he planned it and he couldn't imagine anyone else standing at his side, all while I'm crying tears of joy now. I, of course, said yes and couldn't be happier than I am today knowing that I get to marry this wonderful man. He has made each day brighter for me since May of 2010 and I can't wait to see what our future holds.

Story: My fiance' rented out a theater at Movie Tavern and had close family and friends come to my "private birthday screening of my favorite movie." I had no clue the audience was filled with my friends and family as I entered, thinking I was seeing a movie of his choice. He excused himself during credits as I looked at a menu. I looked up once I heard his voice on the screen. The featured film was in fact a two hour story of our relationship that included messages from friends and my fiance receiving my fathers blessing. In the films end my soon to be fiance was singing in the car. He then enters the theater serenading me with the same song followed by a string trio. He then gets on one knee and pops the question. Of course, I said "Yes!" We then enjoy a meal and our guests as a newly engaged couple!

Story: April of 2017- I felt like my boyfriend and I were growing in distance and I thought that we just were done with the exciting stage and the relationship was fizzling out. Friday May 19th, after coming home from a weeklong trip away, I was ready to call it quits. I went over to my boyfriend’s house, but he was really sick and so I decided to wait until he was feeling better. What I didn’t know was that his brain had been bleeding for several months and on Sunday, May 21st, he had a stroke and a brain hemorrhage and was rushed to the emergency to put a tube in his brain to release the pressure. Minutes after I arrived at the emergency they took him into surgery letting me know that they didn’t know what condition he would end up in. I wound up staying in the hospital with him as much as possible, overnights, and anytime that I wasn’t working, and honestly didn’t know if he would ever be able to walk, talk, or live any part of his life as normal again. So, apparently this pressure in his brain had been going on for months and that’s what was making him seem distant. Everyday after coming from work I would go and talk to him and hold his hand, hoping that he might respond. He had to wear a breathing mask so we had no idea if he could speak normally either. One day when I arrived, I saw that he was sitting up in the bed with his mask on. I was so excited though, and could hardly believe it. I rushed to the bed to find that his nurse had given him a pad of paper to write on and he was able to write out some words! When he saw me he immediately wrote, “I love you Liz. Let’s get married.” I was shocked and overwhelmed and happy, so I replied by writing yes on the paper. He then responded, with “I am blessed,” and some other illegible words that I couldn’t read. There in that hospital room began our journey of we, and my fiancé Juan and I are pretty much inseparable now. We love to road bike together, hike, and pretty much enjoy life to the fullest. I say now that Juan is Juan2.0 because he’s changed in every way possible to be the most amazing man I’ve ever met. We both agree that his incident happened for us, not too us.

Story: Brandon and I were schoolmates at William Paterson University. While enjoying the same company for all of 4 years, as cliché as it may sound, we never imagined in the end that we’d find ourselves with a mutual love that exceeded friendship. Brandon began to expose his increased interest in me during my last semester of college after we began spending an immense amount of time together, apart from our friends. I admired Brandon’s desire for spiritual growth and enlightenment and was elated to learn that on our first real date that I was actually attending his baptism. After months of more dates, including dinners, picnics, sightseeing, bible studies, athletic activities and more, we built a bond that led us into courtship on May 8, 2016. On February 25, 2018 Brandon proposed to me on the beach in Haiti, while we were on a mission’s trip. We were so humbled, selfless and devoted to building up an impoverished country while hand in hand. It was our first time on a mission’s trip and we worked diligently and whole hearted. It connected us as if we were never truly connected before. Brandon never purchased a ring because he had no intentions on proposing in Haiti, but he believed that we were in a moment that could not be duplicated and that it was necessary to not allow that moment escape us. So, with a plastic ring from the Haitian beach stand, Brandon proposed and of course I said yes! He purchased a ring once we got back to the states but it was something about being in a third world country, stripped from everything that we consider normal in America, from materialistic things to clean running water. It was something about being in that environment and experiencing the genuine love and happiness the Haitians STILL exhibited despite their plight. A ring did not matter to me as I looked around me and looked at the hand-made, plastic Haitian ring Brandon was holding. It was the most authentic proposal I could have ever asked for. With the support of our loving family and friends, we’ve set a wedding date for June 1, 2019. We’re overjoyed to continue leading an abundant life of humility and sacrifice, together.

Story: We just got back from visiting my family in Florida (we both currently live in Southern California). While visiting my family he asked my mother for my hand in marriage so I knew a ring was on it's way eventually but I did not think it would be this soon. So, we landed back in California on Friday night the next day (8.18.18), we were at work doing our normal prep for our Fall Semester to begin in a week. He came to me asking if I wanted to go run an errand with him which anything to take a break from the office life I was down for. He ended up driving me home, he pulled out a bag from the backseat from one of my favorite clothing stores, and told that I had an hour and half to get myself ready because he wanted to take me out for the evening. He told me that instead of going with his original plan to go to dinner he decided to "change" things up, order sushi to go, and head to our favorite beach spot. A little back story, we have a journal that we made the first month of dating which we would write to each other back in and forth. I didn't know that he ripped out the first page and basically wrote out a written proposal and saved it for this day. He pulled out that sheet paper, had me read it, and I had no idea when he got on knees because I was too busy laughing hysterically out of disbelief. He picked this date because 8 means "new beginnings" and 18 means "new life, bond together".

Story: After meeting as high school sophomores, we had very different paths after graduation. I went to college and he enlisted immediately, so we have been long distance since 2015. Despite this we have made it work, and are still as madly in love today as in high school. Shortly after he returned home from his first overseas deployment, he came home to visit his family and I. Little did I know, he had shipped an engagement ring to my roommate to bring to him when he got home. After a few days, he scheduled a date night for the two of us, to a romantic steakhouse. We ate dinner, and toured their amazing wine cellar. Afterwards we went to a private dessert room, where he proposed to me the same way he had asked me on our first date back in high school. He started talking about us, our future and the challenges of being apart so long while he was away. Then the dessert came to us, along with the ring and when I looked up he was proposing to me. Everyone in his family and mine apparently, had known ahead of time, so when we came home there was a lot of excitement waiting! I immediately started crying and of course said yes! This was November 21, 2017, 5 years after we first met. Now between my school and his deployment schedule, we finally found a date that works for us both and our families, and can't wait to finally get married October 5, 2019.

Story: Jarrod and I met July 31, 2016 and I knew he was the one for me that same day. We were both asked to play in a mud volleyball tournament as there were not enough players on the team.  Thanks to the team being short handed, I met the love of my life and the father of my now 6 month old son Jeremiah. Jarrod and I became inseparable. I don’t even think I really gave him the choice to not like me because we just stuck. haha Well, about a year later we find out we are pregnant. We’re over the moon excited, but in the end we lost our angel baby. With the help of God’s grace and love, Jarrod and I became stronger as a couple. We now truly understood and valued the life that we had together. Just a short 4 weeks later we found out we were pregnant again! This time, with our sweet boy Jeremiah. As the pregnancy went along, there were many complications, which only made Jarrod and myself fall onto one another even more than before. We knew that even with all the chaos and crazy events going on in our lives, we were exactly where we were meant to be. March 2018 I was scheduled to take some maternity pictures where Jarrod and I had our first date. Well, Jarrod secretly planned on proposing to me then. As we drove up to our special spot with our family, Jarrod kept laughing his nervous laugh and was being silly. I still had noooo clue!  We get to the spot and it’s CLOSED! So we look for something around the area and as we find a spot, they tell us to pose in this one pretty location. So as we pose, I’m looking up at the sky laughing and Jarrod gets my attention with the beautiful ring that my dad gave my mom when they got engaged. I was over the moon excited and of course pregnancy hormones took over and I cried. Soon after, I was told I was to be induced because of Preeclampsia. When I was finally induced to have Jeremiah, I honest to God couldn’t have asked for a more loving, kind, and supportive man to have by my side. I swear, Jarrod is the reason I was able to go through labor and delivery without an epidural! The encouragement, love, and support I felt from him that day still sits so dearly in my heart. I couldn’t love him more...at least so I thought. Then Jeremiah arrived and I see the love that my fiancée has for my son and my heart feels as if it’s beating for the first time ever. I felt like the Grinch when we grew a heart. Every day since then, my heart grows for him and my son. And every day I always THINK that I cannot love this man anymore than I do now. But I’m always wrong. I know there’s so much in store for our love and for our family. I can’t wait to honor that commitment in front of God and our friends and family.

Story: Live. Love & Dance. Chris and I met at Lorenz Latin Dance Studio 3 years ago. Dance was always a part of our lives even before then so it was meant to be that we have this special thing in common. This past summer we joined his brother and sister in law on their honey moon to Europe. We visited 4 countries in two weeks, but Santorini had been on my mind since we booked the trip. As a promotional video for the studio we work at, we decided to film ourselves dancing a routine in every country we visited. When we got to Oia, Santorini, Greece, we found an amazing spot to shoot the video. After we finished, Chris said that we needed to do it again. I asked him why, and he said that we messed up. I told him not to worry, that I would edit it. However, he still insisted we do it again... and thank God I agreed. He got down on one knee as the video was rolling and asked permission to be his wife. That was a dance I will never forget. Link to video below :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgjk-qSEMlY

Story: I met Jodie on a humid September night as I was sweeping the bar in the local restaurant where I worked. I'm a teacher by day, and a waitress by night. He sat in the bar with a few friends, but I noticed he kept staring at me. He was handsome, but I was too busy and heartbroken to be interested. You see, I just fled from an extremely abusive relationship; my ex beat me until I lost a child. Jodie followed me to the back where I was continuing my closing duties. He asked me if we'd ever met and knowing that I was new in the area and hadn't met hardly anyone, I quipped " nice try!" He was so charming and sweet to be as burly as he was. He mentioned he'd played professional baseball, etc. He asked me for my number. I didn't give it to him. Instead, I took his. I contacted him 3 days later. We have been together ever since. 8 years, 3 miscarriages, and 3 adorable children later Jodie died unexpectedly in my arms, upstairs in our home, from a massive heart attack. He was 38. I was devastated; I still am, but my story doesn't end there. I continued to go to church; continued to try to keep some normalcy and consistency for my children. I learned to cry in the shower, and be strong when they cried and wanted daddy. I learned to cry when my students weren't in my classroom. I learned to grieve when I could, but continue living as best I could because that's what Jodie would have wanted. He was tough and tender; I had to be too. I met Clint in church. He was very quiet. He and his family sat in the pew in front of us. I'd never seen him before, yet Jodie and I had been members for four years. I later found out that Clint was deployed overseas most of that time. Like most people today, I found him on social media and decided to message him. We talked for several days before I gave him my phone number. He seemed nice, but I was hurting. It was extremely hard for me to hide my emotions. Clint and I met up after a couple weeks of talking over text (we saw each other every Sunday, but sat separately and didn't talk much). We knew we were attracted to each other, and had common interests. We went on dates. It was nice to have a man tell me I was beautiful and strong again. Clint finally met the children. They liked him instantly. My mother died July 4th; 7 months to the date that my Jodie passed away. I was devastated. Clint was there. He never left my side. He picked me up when I was a broken, sobbing, mess on the floor. He let me tell stories of Jodie and my mom. He lets me cry it out when I need to, and he accompanies me to the cemetery every Sunday so the children and I can spend time with Jodie and my mother. One day my oldest asked who is stronger? My dad or Mr. Clint? Clint immediately replied, "your dad." He always puts the children and Jodie's relationship above his and their's. I knew we were destined to be together, and I knew I needed him most when I was having a breakdown about work, school, being a mom and a coach, and feeling like a failure on top of grieving for Jodie and my Mom. I melted, but Clint took care of the boys while I cried it out. The words Clint said to me spoke directly to my broken heart. He said, " Babe, when you get to feeling like this lean into me and Jodie. The five of us will get through anything together." The five of us referring to Jodie, Clint, my two boys, and me. He is our rock now, and I can't wait to spend many more tear and laughter filled days with him.

Story: James and I have been dating since high school! We recently graduated from attending the same college for 4 years. I'll just fast forward to the best day of my life! It was a Saturday night in February and there was a blizzard going on.. (WHY WAS THERE A BLIZZARD IN FEBRUARY? I was thinking the same thing. James wanted to go out for a nice romantic dinner and I didn't want to go because of the bad weather. He practically had to pull me out of the house! LOL  So we make our way to CHAR steakhouse and I was blown away by how beautiful this restaurant was. They walked us to our table and the first person I see is my heart, my special needs little sister who hugged me in excitement and that's when I realized my entire family and James' family was there as well. Before I could even figure out what was going on, the love of my life was down on one knee proposing to me! In complete disbelief I could not say a word but tears were running down my eyes and yes was the only thing I could say after about a minute of sobbing like a baby. My high school sweetheart just made me the happiest person in the world is all I could think. We are now hoping to be able to win this giveaway and have our dream wedding!

Story: My boyfriend, Justin, and I drove to Ocean City, Maryland for a weekend getaway. He told me to set an alarm for 6 AM the following morning so we could watch the sunrise on the beach. I work third shift as a pediatric nurse so I was still on that night shift schedule. I was awake until 5 AM and refused to get out of bed for him to go to the beach. Little did I know he was planning to propose! I slept right through it! That evening he suggested we go walk on the bay to watch the sunset. I said I wanted to go to the beach instead. He obliged. As we were sitting on the beach watching the moon rise he pulled out the ring. He told me he had wanted to propose in front of the sunset, but I had yet again foiled his plans. Whether it be sunrise, sunset, or moon rise, I love him and I'm ready to be his wife.

Story: Courtney and I started dating in November 2015 after we both swiped right on Bumble. The week leading up to his proposal, I had recieved my final grades from my summer semester and the last course of my first year of graduate school. He tells me that he his is super proud of me and that we will celebrate this upcoming weekend. That saturday, September 1, 2018, I met up with a girlfriend to get mani/pedis (not knowing she was in on the surprise). Once I got home from the nail salon, Courtney wanted to walk to brunch. After we finished brunch, he wanted to walk the neighborhood. We walk to this green space with a few Park benches. There was a card with my name on it sitting on one of the benches. I looked confused but read the card anyway. From there, Courtney asked me to stand and he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Still in shock, I say “yes!”

Story: On June 22, 2018 Lynnetta planned a family trip for most of her family to go with the kids. With so many things planned and fun times with family the memories alone would be fantastic. On June 24, 2018 after a tour of Pear Harbor, Lynnetta and Cam along with family, friends, and strangers get back on the tour bus to head back to the hotel. The shuttle bus driver announces that he met Cam and Cam told him he knows some things about Hawaii so he's going to test his knowledge.👀 Lynnetta's mother turns around and looks at her and says, "You think he knows anything?" She replied, "Not at all!" 🤨Anyway everyone exits the bus and boom that's when it all starts. What most people don't know is that Cam is crazy. Lol... He's the guy that will take Lynnetta out to a restaurant or anywhere and get up and loudly profess his love for Lynnetta (She's had some delightful embarrassing moments)😳. So when the bus driver gives Cam the floor to talk, Lynnetta begins thinking here we go... He's lied to this man telling him he knows things about Hawaii and he's about to embarrass us. Nonetheless, Lynnetta put on a smile like a good gf would lol. So when Cam begins to talk about Love part and comes to Lynnetta and touches her, she quietly say, "What are you doing? Don't start this today!" Thinking... here he goes with the PDA. It wasn't until he explains the gesture that it clicked and she looked at her Mom who had the biggest grin on her face and Lynnetta then noticed everyone recording on their phones in which it set in. Lynnetta's heart instantly started beating fast and she thought to herself OMG is this really happening?!💓Cam expressed his love for Lynnetta in such a sweet way, so when he popped the question all she could say was, "Heck Yea." A casual encounter has turned into the start of a beautiful love story. Now... the two are on their way to becoming one.

Story: It was a warm uneventful evening, the last visit before Cole left for Basic Training...I had a few heavy bags of donations I needed help bringing to my Jeep and I was showing Cole so he could know where they were and how many there were so he could be prepared. I had my back turned pointing to things and when I was done I stated that I was super thirsty and wanted water and if he did as well. As I turned around Cole grabbed my shoulders and said to wait. Oblivious of what was going on I just stood there and licked my dry thirsty lips and listened. Cole then proceeded to tell me how much he loved me and how lucky he was to have me, which he does often but I never get tired of it, it always makes me smile and my heart warm. Suddenly he dropped down on one knee and with my eyes wide I gasped, "WHAT! REALLY! RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!?" He giggled and pulled out a ring and with one of his famously handsome smiles, asked me to be his wife for life. Now...by now I completely forgot I was thirsty, busted out crying, and grabbed Cole into a big hug and managed to squeak out the word: YES!

Story: It all began at a friend's engagement party. Although we went to high school together, we never dated. When we reunited at a friend's engagement party, we hit it off. I was close with the soon-to-be bride and he was close with the soon-to-be groom. All of our friends didn't understand how we weren't together sooner because we "just made sense together". That night there was lots of flirting and conversation about going out together another time. First Friday in Southern Pines provided that next opportunity. We listened to good music, talked, and had a few that night. I, of course, had one too many and he had to drive me home (which worked out). That was the night of our first kiss and set the scene for many more dates to come. He was a fireman and I was a teacher. Since we began dating, we have been able to attend or be a part of all of our close friend's weddings. We always have heard..."you two are next". Well, I believe it is time to retire my "bridesmaid" title and become "the bride". After work, he took me out to dinner then drove up to the Roanoke Star in Roanoke, Virginia. The sun was almost done setting and the sky was turning into night. We walked around and talked for a bit then it happened. Matt sat down on a bench for a moment and began to propose and I said "Are you sure?" with my mouth gaping open. Of course I said yes, as we were overlooking Roanoke from atop the mountain. We have since been excited about getting married. We are ready to continue our lives together as husband and wife.

Story: My fiance and I have been together for almost three years now, and we have an adorable son who will be two in January. He proposed to me while we were on a trip with friends in Yosemite National Park. He waited until we were standing directly under Bridal Veil Falls and he got down on one knee and popped the question. I'm not usually the type to cry but my eyes filled with tears, I was just so full of emotions. Of course I said yes! Our friends cheered and clapped, it was just so perfect down to everything last detail.

Story: Jordie and I have been dating since 2009 while living in DIFFERENT COUNTRIES (USA & tropical Belize)! You can imagine how much miles we have accumulated so far. We have definitely been through a lot over the years, but flash forward to March 31, 2018 as we head out to dinner at Ka’ana Resort in Belize for the reservation I made just a few days earlier. We decided to sit inside since there was not one in there. The table only had 2 coasters and a single candle, nothing special at all. The waitress brought the dinner menu and set the table with silverware and lit the candle. She immediately apologized for not having a wine list as they allow their guests to go into the cellar to pick the bottle themselves, so she offered a cocktail menu instead. I always have wine, but I decided to order a margarita instead. Jordie ordered the same. While waiting for our drinks, Jordie decides to go to the car because he forgot his phone. He returned, took some pictures of me and told me that we should check out the cellar, just to see what it looks like. I said OK and asked the waitress if we can still go. She said sure and asked if we would like to go on our own. I looked at her puzzled and said "umm, we don't know where it is". She apologized and escorted us down the stairs and into the cellar. She left and told us that she will return once we have selected a bottle. The cellar was lit with candles everywhere and petals sprinkled on the floor. For some reason, I thought nothing of it since the restaurant setting was a bit romantic, as well. I browsed through the shelves and I picked a bottle of Malbec by Ménage à Trois. Jordie took it out of my hands and placed it on a small table next to us. He nervously held both my hands and that’s when I knew he was about to propose. After expressing how much he loves me and how he never wants to be without me, he leaned over to the small table, pulled the drawer open and retrieved a small black box. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said “Of course, baby!” followed by lots of hugs and kisses. We went back to the restaurant and was seated at a private table outside that had tropical flowers and was fully set up, heart linen napkins included. I asked the waitress if they really allow guest to go into the cellar? She said no and assured me that they have a wine list. Five minutes later, I realized what just happened and I cried. I was so happy that I will finally be able to start a life with the man that I have always loved!

Story: We didn’t have a “love at first sight” experience. In fact, I thought he was going to be another one of those “college baseball jocks” as the professor told me I had to sit in the last seat closest to the front. Of course it was right next to him. As I introduced myself after sitting by him, he looked up from his phone and smiled at me the way any woman wants to be smiled at. I wasn’t convinced. The psychology professor then advised us to write out our “life-story” and share it with the person next to us. I had no option, but telling him about my life, even though I didn’t want to. Of course, his story changed my impression of him and I realized this man that I sat next to had the biggest heart of gold. My jaw dropped as I wanted him to tell me more; I couldn’t believe the words uttering from his lips when he talked about how much he loved his mom and how he was in critical condition at the age of two. I was blown away by this man that I thought would just be “another college baseball jock.” That day, he left Class after our class together and got back to his townhouse full of baseball players and said to every single one of them, “Guys. I met the woman of my dreams today.” Two years of long-distance later, he got on one knee after a long flight from Boston at a luxurious “family” dinner and there were candles and a water fountain lighting the path from me to him. Wow. I can’t believe that he knew. From day one, he knew, and I’m so happy that I’m the woman of his dreams.

Story: I was so tired of meeting flakes and jerks online, having 2 dates a day sometimes to try and find Mr. "Right". I was about to delete my online profile until he sent me a message asking what my favorite dinosaur was and favorite color. (I was into the random questions thing). Later to find out his military roommate made him a profile on this site when they were drinking...im glad he came back the next day sober to look around some more to find me. Sure enough he moved our first date night up a couple days to beat someone else from dating me. He even said when waiting for me to come out to meet him at his car, an older non attractive lady walked out and he was sure he was catfished...until she passed him and I came out. We we're attached at the hip there after and I swore I've been in a dream since. We are made for each other. He waited until our 5 year anniversary photos at our first date location to pop the question by the beach. ♥️ I cried....and said yes.

Story: My fiance and I spent the whole day in NYC. We walked up and down Time Square trying to kill some time before we had to go to the Yankee Stadium. We had an amazing time, but it was time for me to go home. While we spent our day in New York, his sister, brother-in law, and my little brothers helped put together a night I will never forget. When I got home I walked into a trail of rose petals leading me to the back of my house. I was so confused as to what was going on even though I could clearly hear "Bruno Mars- Marry You" in the background. I followed the trail and outside the back door was a huge arch with lights and a message reading, "Will You Marry Me?" I cried so much wondering how could he pull all of this off if I was in New York with him for the whole day. When I got closer to him down on one knee, I saw a picture of my father and I and cried even more. With my father passing and know how close we were, he made sure to include my dad in such a day that is very important to me. I was surrounded by my loved ones and couldn't have asked for a better proposal.

Story: On the evening of August 29th, what started out as a fun professional photo shoot on our first day in Havana turned into a surprise engagement photo session. We started out at El Capitolio then walked through Old Havana, stopping at unique and colorful places to take pics. Then we walked down to El Malecon, the seawall. Neither Jess nor the photographer had any idea a proposal was about to happen! Clearly she said yes and jumped into my arms before I could even get the ring on her finger. Later we took a ride in a vintage car then went to a rooftop bar to bask in the glow of the Cuban sunset and our deep love for each other.

On September 1st, 2018, Scott and I took a trip to Wallowa Lake, OR where we took the tram up to the top of Mt Howard Summit, over 8,000 feet in elevation. We went to the overlook where you are able to see parts of Oregon, Washington, Idaho and even Montana. Looking out over this amazing view, Scott told me he always hopes we can find adventures together and that he would feel even more on top of the world if I would marry him, in which I turned to face him and he was down on one knee with the most amazing ring shining up at me! Story: Tyler and I have done our year long relationship from distance. We make an effort to see each other 3 times a month, so it’s been easier than your typical long distance relationship, but still really hard saying goodbye! When we are foster we try to do a nicer date night at least once. One where we go somewhere new for dinner and do something after - so we did a staycation for me- went downtown Chicago, got a hotel, dressed up, and headed to a new dinner spot! Tyler didn’t seem different at all! His normal goofy self! We planned to eat and hit up some rooftop bars because it was the perfect night! Needless to say, Tyler was adiment to go to Trump tower’s terrace- so up we went. We were there all of ten minutes when Tyler needed to go to the bathroom... so as I waited for him, I got our drinks, and was admiring the view. By the time he got back he didn’t waste any time!! He got down on one knee... and had someone taking pictures!!!

Story: My fiancé and I met my Senior year of high school (he’s a year younger). We hit it off immediately, but it never fully worked out. It was 4 and a half years of on and off and being best friends to more than friends to nothing. I always knew I loved him though and that we were meant for so much more. After not talking for almost a year, we reconnected and it all just finally clicked. We have now been together for 2.5 years (officially) and we love nature. My fiancé knew he wanted to propose in nature, but he also knew I’d want to look cute and have pictures of the moment (haha). My family acted like we were doing our family pictures at a park and I showed up at Ault Park in Cincinnati (so pretty) and he comes out of hiding in the flowers and bushes and asks me. Our families were there and it was just such a beautiful setting. He’s the reason I truly believe that if it’s meant to be, it will be and God’s timing is so perfect ❤️

Story: Where do I begin? I've been with my high-school sweetheart for the last 9 1/2 years. Since age 16! He was the football player and I was the dancer. His proposal was more than I could ever imagined! The day started with getting my nails done and lunch with my fiance's mom. When I got back home, my fiance says "you're leaving in 20 minutes". He hands me a beautifully typed up yellow note card that had a clue written on it to begin a scavenger hunt. He remembered me saying when we were 17 that I have always wanted to do a big scavenger hunt. So I begin. Each stop was somewhere we hung out at when we first started dating in high school. Each stop also had either his brother or a friend of his waiting to hand me the next yellow clue card. After 4 stops, one card hinted at my hair dresser. I had been trying to get in with my hair dresser for a month but she kept being "super booked". All part of my fiances plan. So I went to the salon where she was ready to color and style my hair (all already paid for by my fiance). As she's doing my hair, she pulls out another clue card for me. It had the sweetest message that ended by saying in the back room there were 6 new yellow dresses with shoes, jewelry, make-up, etc. waiting for me and that a chauffeur would be there at 6 pm to pick me up from the salon. He turned it into a walk-in closet! So I got my hair done and got all dolled up in my brand new outfit! The chauffer (one of his friends) picks me up and we drive for an hour. I wore sunglasses that you couldn't see ANYTHING out of so I had no idea where we were going. Then the car stops and someone opens my door to walk with me. Still not being able to see, I could feel that the terrain changed and wondered where in the world I was. Then my sunglasses were removed. I was standing on the 25 yard line of our high school football field staring at my fiance waiting for me at the 50 yard line. He created an aisle of yellow balloons to lead my walk to him. He had a photographer on the field too! He told me the sweetest words I've ever been told and got down on one knee. I said YES! As we kissed and hugged, I heard cheering from the sidelines. I look over and all our family and closest friends were there! I had no clue they were on the sidelines the whole time because they were so quiet and my eyes were only on my fiance. The details were mind-blowing! If you couldn't guess by how many times I mentioned yellow, yellow is my favorite color. On the field leading to him, there were 10 bundles of balloons with 4 balloons each. My birthday is 10/4! He even had the date he proposed on the scoreboard on the football field. So special! My favorite number is 14 and his is 18. He proposed July 14, 2018. He made it soooo worth the 9 1/2 year wait! I'm the luckiest girl on the planet!

Story: August 20th, was one of the most perfect days of my life. It was pretty normal. I had some errands to run, last minute school stuff to get together, a little shopping, a nice local lunch, a quick trip to the parkway to enjoy the overlooks and being in the middle of a cloud, a lot of grocery shopping, and then a relaxing night at our adorable apartment. Nothing really crazy out of the ordinary just a perfect day with Austin and good company. When we got home, our friends began cooking their dinner while Austin and I sang, danced, hugged, kissed, and overall had a fun time just acting like fools in our room. Then as we were holding each other I noticed Austin starting to get down on one knee. I immediately started nodding my head and crying and hugging him. My best friend had given me the privilege to be his fiancée and eventually his wife. I’ve never been so honored. I had actually been teasing him all day about proposing and later I found out that he had planned to do it that day. I had been cracking jokes and bugging him about it all day! Every ordinary day is special if it's with the right person. That's what our story is about, and that's what it will stay about. We're lucky to have the opportunity of loving one another at such a young age. We don't just get to grow old together, we basically get to go through the entire life cycle together!

Story: Living halfway across the country from my parents made it so that my boyfriend had to call my dad. He snuck into my phone, got the number and called him while we were at a children's birthday party. That night, he took me to Helen Hunt Falls and proposed in the middle of the waterfall. He told me how he knew it was important that I wanted my father's blessing and that he had called him. He wasn't planning on doing it tonight, but rather waiting until he met my parents two months later, but he was so overwhelmed with our day that he proposed right there in the waterfall.

Story: My engagement story is actually not the typical story. My fiancé had planned on proposing on our anniversary, which is 8/23/18. This will be our 5 year anniversary, and we had been planning a trip to the mountains to get away. He had planned on proposing to me next to a waterfall after a short hike. However, this did not happen. My fiancé ended up getting into an accident and fracturing his back. This meant that we had to cancel our anniversary plans. He has been out of work and unable to pay his bills. Because of this he proposed while he was in the hospital. It was a sad, yet happy, and intimate moment. He felt absolutely terrible for having to propose in that way. But the conversation that surrounded the proposal and the tears that were cried made it so intimate that I wouldn’t change it, even for the most thought out proposal. Now that we are engaged I want to be able to give him the best wedding that I possibly can.

Story: Taylor (my now husband) and I love to travel together! This past March we were visiting Dever, Colorado, a long time destination on our list of places to visit. We had been driving up the steep trails at Rocky Mountain National Park in northern Colorado, eventually reaching the summit point of frozen Bear Lake, 10,000 feet up and 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Taylor is used to this weather, as he was born and raised in Canada, I, on the other hand, was born and raised in Florida, so I did not love the freezing temperature. Taylor had to persuade me to walk out onto the ice in the howling wind but asked me to trust him and took my hand. When we got to the middle of the lake, I did not expect him to go down on one knee and ask me to continue trusting him for the rest of our lives. I was so surprised! After I said yes we heard cheering and two people were waving at us from the woods we entered through. They told us that they had seen the proposal while they were hiking and quickly got out their cameras! Five short months later we were married in Orlando, Florida. We are now living in Europe for our first year as a married couple!

Story: Kevin and I met when we were 17. We tried dating a few times, but neither of us were ever in the right place at the right time. That all changed when we turned 31. Through social media, we reconnected and ended up traveling together. We fell in love, but our relationship was long-distance. A year and a half later, I gave up my job and moved to be with him. We are more in love than ever! In June, Kevin surprised me by taking me to a vineyard that I had always wanted to go to. It was on the land that my ancestors lived on. He told me that our cellar tour began in the gazebo. When I walked in, he proposed. I turned around, and he had our families waiting to congratulate us. It was the best day of my life!

Story: Gregory and I dated in 1998 and again in 2007. The timing wasnt right either time. The 3rd time was finally the charm. We visited my family in upstate NY for Christmas. Greg asked my parents for my hand in marriage and tried to figure out where to propose. It was cold and snowing so he got down on one knee in the small town hotel that we were staying in. That was 7 years ago. Due to unfortunate circumstances, we have yet to tie the knot but hope to do so within the next year!

Story: I proposed on the beach in Westhampton, NY. I surprised her, went to her home and woke her up at 6:30 AM. I told her we had to take a ride, drove her to the beach and we started walking along the water, where I had a beach display already prepared with "Victoria Will you Marry me?" in the sand with candles in a heart around it. She was shocked! Cute little video to prove it! ha ha

Story: My fiance and I were dating on and off for 12 years. He was never ready to commit. I told him that I was moving on and that he either commits and leave for good. He wished me luck with my life even though we had a cruise scheduled in a few weeks. A few days later we were talking/crying hugging each other and he asked my son to pass him a box. My son immediately started screaming and when I looked, it was the ring. As he cried, he asked me to marry him. It was so special because my kids were present. We were all crying. His plan was to ask me to marry him on our cruise.

Story: My fiance took me out to dinner at the Peddler in Raleigh for our 2 year anniversary. We walked in, ate the most delicious steak and even had dessert. I had no idea what was coming next... He had everything already figured out. At first he asked to take a picture which for a guy is pretty rare. So he asked if we could take it inside and I said it was too dark of lighting for a nice picture. (He really wanted to propose in front of everyone there) I told him we should take it outside for the perfect lighting. So we walked outside and the hostess starting taking a couple pictures. Well she got to close up on purpose (little did I know) so I said oh my please back up some so that it isn't to close up. So she backs up and he used that as his cue... He says "yes please back up so that I can do this..." And he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in complete shock I started crying so many happy tears and mustered up enough courage to nod my head yes!! Now here we are planning a wedding for July 27th 2019!! Can't wait ❤️

Story: My fiance (Qiyuan) and I met online by total chance, I was working in a pre-clinical mouse laboratory and she was a PhD student. She was the first woman whose eyes would not glaze over when I spoke about my work, instead she would get a spark of excitement ad enthusiasm which made me fall for her on our first date. She was born in China and lived most of her life there, being a person always curious about mythology and cultural stories I would frequently ply her to learn more. One day she told me a story about a small carp fish that through hard work and determination is able to climb up a waterfall that leads directly to heaven, after the long and difficult journey up the waterfall, the small fish was magically transformed into a dragon. I China they have a saying becoming a dragon, it is a reference to this story and means you have gone through a difficult process and now you are at a better place in your life. This story stuck with me, as time passed I saw her PhD as her waterfall and would help her anyway I could, bringing food to her in lab at 11pm or driving her back when she forgot to put something away. One day she called me at work in tears, she told me her lab would be moving and if she wanted to continue working on her PhD she would have to move several states away with the lab. I had just started working in a Pharma job that was paying well but money was not a thought when I heard the pain in her voice, I told her the next day I would go with her, wherever she went, it did not matter to me I wanted to spend my life with her and needed to show it. I could not have felt more serious about anything in my life, I had to show her how I felt and I had 2 months too do it. I went and bought an engagement ring shaped like a lily (her favorite flower) and organized a hiking trip for her and our friends. This trail had a nice water fall along side it and I had told a few friends that I would take this opportunity to propose. The trail led from the top of the waterfall down a slope to the bottom, on the walk by one of my friends placed the box at the top of the waterfall as I had asked him to do. When Qiyuan and I and everyone else made it to the bottom I looked at her, then the rock face around the falls and asked her "do you want to climb it with me?" at first she was nervous and told me "No!" but when I explained I would be next to her the whole time helping her climb she became more comfortable with the idea. Side by side we climbed to the top of the waterfall and when I got to the top and pulled her up after me we both looked down at what we had done together. I told her "life is full of waterfalls, but if we are together we can climb them no matter how difficult or tall they are. We are like the fish right now, but together we can become dragons" Then I turned around picked up the box got down on one knee on the rocks and asked her "Will you marry me?" and she stared at me eyes wide mouth agape and completely silent for what felt like an eternity until I meekly said "say something?" at which point she snapped out of it and screamed "YES!!!" I slipped the ring onto her fingers then we jumped from the top of the waterfall back to the bottom where she told everyone how happy she was. That is how I proposed to Qiyuan the love of my life, since then things have gotten much more difficult, we moved to a new state, I lost my job, but we have continued to support each other and climb higher every day as she has inspired me to attain a PhD as well. As a side note the picture of us

Story: My Fiance and I met doing the same summer internship in Virginia. I am from Oregon and he is from New Jersey, so when the summer ended we decided to break up instead of doing the whole long distance, cross-country thing. Buuuut we never stopped talking and ended up spending two years flying back and forth to see each other. For our 2nd anniversary, I wrote him "Open When" letters and told him he could open 2 a week. I was visiting him one weekend, so we went to the Jersey shore for dinner and he suggested we bring the box with all the letters since he hadn't read his yet. We had a lovely dinner and then walked along the beach for awhile. We sat down and he handed me the box to choose his letter. When I went through all the letters, I found one that said "Open When your name is Kim" (which I obviously hadn't written). It was a long letter about how much he loves me, how hard the distance has been, and our future together. At the end of the letter it said *Now turn to your Fiance* so I looked at him and he had the ring. I said YES!!

Story: I met my fiance Alex online, through Facebook actually. I decided to try online dating after a hard breakup. We had been friends for awhile. I initially accepted his friend request because we had a ton of mutual friends. We connected and both showed an interest in each other and started dating from there. The connection was instant. One thing that I love about Alex is his personality and his maturity. He said from the moment we met I was going to be his wife. Fast forward to seven months later he planned a dinner with his family. He told me it would be a dinner to celebrate his late grandmother's birthday, not realizing I was actually helping him plan my own engagement. He talked to my sister about the proposal and got my family's blessing. Everyone was in on it. My sister had told me to invite different people so both of our families and friends could meet. I was clearly naive about the situation. The people I invited had already knew about the proposal. Nothing clicked that something was going on. I was totally clueless. We had dinner at Cooper's Hawk in Oak Park, IL in the Chicagoland area. It's one of my favorite restaurants because they have amazing wine. Everyone arrives, we start to mingle and introduce ourselves, and there's glasses of wine being passed around. It was a great time. After dinner we were finally having dessert. Everyone else was getting chocolate cake except me. Alex was messing around and grabbed my hand and took one of my rings off of my hand that I had on my ring finger. I'm still trying to figure out why I didn't have any cake and the waitresses comes back with a plate with the words written "Will you marry me?" with a beautiful chocolate dessert. I read it and Alex got down on one knee and proposed in front of our families with a gorgeous ring. Of course I cried and said yes. It was a perfect proposal and a moment that I will never forget, which I can't anyway because it was recorded and posted all over Facebook. It almost went viral. Haha So now we are set to wed July 14 of 2019 and I can't wait. And that's our engagement story.

Story: Both single parents, I have 2 boys and he has one son. We both have children with special needs, my son has a rare blood disorder called LCH while his son has autism. Needless to say our bond runs deep and life isn't always easy! The engagement was a huge surprise! Phil planned an entire trip to Punta Cana which he said was a trip for my birthday! Phil is horrible at planning but he did an amazing job! On May 19th we went on a four wheeler excursion to Macao Beach. On this trail we got filthy but it was fun lol. We arrived at Macao which was one of the most pristine beaches I have ever seen, while there a photographer was taking photos of us and another couple that joined us for the trip. The photographer directed Phil to get on one knee and told me to sit on his knee for a picture. While I was sitting Phil was struggling to pull out the ring. I wasn't paying attention to anything besides the photographer. Once the picture was taken, when I got up Phil remained on his knee holding the most beautiful rose gold ring shaped as a crown and asked me to forever be his Queen. Phil made his Beyonce an Feyonce!!

Story: My fiance and I had been dating for about a year and a half before we recently got engaged. It has been a wonderful time of getting to know each other and learning to make time for each other. We are both Christians and agreed early on to follow things the traditional way. We live about 10 minutes from each other but have decided to follow the 'courting' route of abstinence and waiting before we live together. We are both professionals as well as single parents from previous relationships, so have had to really work on making US work. It's been hard work but has been amazing and totally worth it! We had begun some initial conversation about possibly getting married, but I put on the brakes and told him I just wasn't quite ready for serious conversations about it yet. Those conversations happened at the beginning of this year (around January). We spoke little about it and then focused mainly on his sister's wedding that we were flying down to Mexico for in June. Both he and his daughter and my daughter were in it, so it was so much fun preparing and seeing it all come together. The night before we left to come home, he wanted to have dinner with me as a date while our kids were with his family. Up to that point, I had decided I really wanted to communicate to him during the trip, that I was feeling better about things, and was ready to move forward in engagement plans! During shopping one day, we were looking at carved Mayan calendars and he really wanted to get one. He decided not to, but I went back and got it since he rarely buys anything for himself. Anyway, I brought that with me to our date dinner and found out it was a beautiful, sunset romantic dinner on the beach. Complete with multiple courses and our own waiter! It was absolutely perfect. We talked and laughed and at dessert I pulled out his gift and began talking to him about how I have been praying and working on myself and so in love with him that it would be amazing to be his forever. I was nervous so it came out jumbled and mixed up I'm sure, but next thing I know he is kissing me and is down on 1 knee with ring in hand!! I was so surprised and joyous I covered my eyes and literally began sobbing. Tears are even coming to my eyes now thinking about it. I was completely blown away. After I calmed down about 10 minutes later, I realized I never answered and all I could do was smile and nod my head yes. It was the most amazing moment of my life. We spend more time talking on the beach and praying and then went to tell his family who of course already knew :) The next few days were full of even more surprises as I found out that he had bought the ring back in February and already called my parents, brother, best friend, etc. to get their blessing! He was simply waiting for me and for the right time. God works in such an amazing way, I feel forever in gratitude to both of them. Thanks for reading :)

Story: How many people can say that they almost died during The Proposal? After 11 years of dating, Matt was planning on taking me to Newport to propose, but he couldn’t wait two more days! He had just picked up the ring that day! Instead, he was so excited that when I went downstairs to get the laundry, he got down on one knee and waited. I came up with a basket full of clean laundry, and when I walked through the door, there Matt was, holding the most gorgeous ring! I was so startled, that I dropped the basket, threw my hands up, and started falling backwards down the stairs! Matt jumped up as I flung my hands back in an attempt to save myself, and my wrists smashed into the door frame, bruising instantly. Matt somehow grabbed me around the waist and pulled me back up. The force of him pulling me caused me to fall on him, which resulted in him falling back into the television set...which wobbled and began to fall! Matt rolled me out of the way and ended up almost crushed when the TV fell!  What a night! And yet, the happiest :)

Story: 10 years ago, I walked into a friend's house and was unaware that I was going to meet the love of my life. I met my fiance, Pat, and we remained friends for years. Fast forward 10 years and I am living with my best friend, along with our puppy who we rescued. One Friday night I ran upstairs to get ready and as I am opening up the bedroom door, I am greeted by our puppy with a shirt that says "will you marry my daddy." I look further out to see my best friend on one knee. Our story is what I read about and saw in movies, but something I never expected in real life.. truly a dream come true!

Story: Our story is not a traditional love story. I call it a miracle love story. My Fiance' and I were co-workers. Our relationship started out casually until we found out we were expecting. Our beautiful daughter arrived September of 2017. During my pregnancy my fiance'and I got to know each other and finally moved in together before the arrival of our daughter. We fell in love with each other while raising our baby and meeting each other's families during the holidays and special occasions. Then on June 13th, 2018 we were home and I heard him say to my eldest ( 14yrs old) daughter from a previous relationship, "Hey you know I love your mom and I love you and your sister and I wanted to know if it would be okay if I married your mother"? My daughter replied "yes" ( smiling a big Koolaid smile). Then he came over to me got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the best surprise, although we did speak about getting married many times, I didn't expect to be engaged this soon and I'm very excited about it.

Story: It was a page right out of a Nicholas Sparks book.... I planned for a surprise engagement on a pier in Wilmington, NC. I am currently in school and wanted to “celebrate finishing my first year of graduate school” when really I was planning the surprise of a lifetime. She looked beautiful and was ready to go to the pier for dinner. I took her out to the pier and asked her to turn for a picture and look off into the distance. When she was looking out to the sea I dropped to a knee and waited for her to turn around... and when she did turn, she was so surprised and happy! Additionally, I had arranged for both of our families to be secretly travel from Cincinnati to the beach to surprise her AGAIN! She was so happy the families could witness the moment. It was an amazing moment for all and I will never forget the look on her face when I was professing my love to her and asking her to be my forever.

Story: A few days before New Years Eve, Lijo frantically tells me that he has thousands of unused points left on his credit card and needs to use them all up before the new year or it will expire. He further explains that he found an event at the Willis Tower Sky Deck called, “Pie in the Sky." Appetizers, champagne, and dinner will also be served. I, without hesitation said, "Yeah, of course, if it’s free I'm there." Minutes later, he forwards me an email confirmation of the event that has all the details. (This was a fake email he created to throw me off. He is so sneaky!) On December, 30 2017 (the night of the proposal), my family and I went to dinner before hand. I thought it was weird that we were eating right before the event but I figured everyone was starving so I didn’t think much of it. (In hindsight, there were about a million clues that should have alerted me to the fact he was going to propose but my judgment was clouded due to his hectic work schedule). After dinner, we walk over to the Willis Tower. My brother-in-law asks one of the gentleman at the counter how to get to the, "Pie in the Sky," event. Over his walkie-talkie, the gentleman says, “Thelma is here for HER EVENT.” (I thought it was really strange that the man at the counter said we were here for MY event, but yet again, I didn’t think much of it). As we're riding the elevator up to the 103rd floor, I text Lijo to see what he's up to. He said he had a rough day at work and is about to crash into bed. I text him an "I love you and" a "goodnight" before I put my phone away. When we reach the 103rd floor, the area is really dark, like super dark, and there’s garbage everywhere. I thought to myself, “What kind of party is this? Where are all the people and why haven’t they started cleaning up?” I hear the man with the walkie-talkie say, “We’re about to turn the corner. Heading your way.” I look back and see my family lagging behind me. I tell them to pick up their pace, but they just start walking even slower. (AGAIN, I thought all of this was so weird but I kept ignoring my paranoia). We finally turn the corner and as I’m walking I see trash on all the ledges except for one. One of the ledges is beautiful. It's brightly lit, has bright red rose petals, and tea light candles. I also see the back of a man with a tan coat on. I thought, “Noooo, there’s no way that’s Lijo. He’s home about to sleep.” I turn back to look at my family and they’re nowhere to be seen. I look at the man with the walkie-talkie and he has a huge grin on his face. We get even closer to the ledge and the man with the tan coat finally turns around to reveal himself. It’s LIJOOO. I immediately start crying. I give him a hug and the first thing I say to him is, “You’re supposed to be at home sleeping.” We both start laughing and he begins to say the most beautiful things to me. He gets down on one knee and asks, “Will you do me the honor of being my wife?” December 30, 2017 was a dream come true. It has been one of the greatest moments of our lives and we cannot wait to start our life as a married couple!

Story: I was invited by my friend to play drums for mass at a church. After church one night we went out to dinner as a church group and my fiance Bill was there as he frequented the church. We started seeing each other often after church and eventually began dating 6 months later. We connected on our faith and knew very quickly we wanted to spend our lives together. Bill proposed by drawing a sketch of the ring on a canvas while we were having our own "painting with a twist" night in my home. He showed me his canvas and got on one knee. A month after we got engaged, Bill was told he would be deployed to the Middle East as he is a Marine. We have been apart now for 7 months while I'm planning our wedding and waiting for his return to the US! I cannot wait to finally see and hug him again!

Story: Jordan’s birthday had just passed in March and Paula and Jordan had plans to go out for dinner with Jordan’s mother that next Friday on March 30, 2017. Jordan had other plans though that he had in place since January when he had asked Paula’s parents for her hand in marriage. He was taking a half day of work and spending the rest of the day prepping for what would be the biggest night of his life. Paula had always been an avid Bachelor fan over the years and Jordan wanted to create a proposal for her that would sweep her off feet, Bachelor style. When that night arrived, Paula was at home, ready for Jordan’s family to pick her up. She was surprised when a stretch limo arrived at the house and her chaffeur greeted her at the door. In the limo, she found four letters, telling the story of their relationship: The High School Years, The College Years, The Working Years, and finally, The Future. Paula couldn’t help crying as the limo driver took her to a surprise destination as she enjoyed this light-reading. The limo stopped at Silver Lake Park in Belmar, NJ. Paula spotted Jordan standing there in the gazebo as soon as they pulled up. She walked the pathway leading to the gazebo where Jordan got down on one knee asking her to marry him. The limo took the two of them to Antonia’s Trattoria in Manasquan where their families greeted them with champagne, balloons, and flowers and they shared a celebratory dinner. Let’s just say, Paula got the final rose.

Story: When you start Kindergarten at 5 years old and meet new friends you would not think that one of those friends would one day be your fiancé. Jason and I were friends throughout middle school and high school. After graduation we went to senior week at Myrtle Beach with different friends. One day we all met up with each other on the beach and decided to watch the sun rise. We got to talking an when we returned home we began dating. Two months later I went away to college and he stayed home to work. We dated while I was in college. I would come home to see him and he would come to Greenville to see me. It was difficult, but we survived a long distance relationship. After dating for 4 1/2 years we took a Sunday drive to the mountains on October 22, 2017. We drove the blue ridge parkway and visited a winery. On the way home we stopped to sit on the side of the mountain overlooking a beautiful fall view. That's where Jason got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes. On May 25,2019 we will begin a new journey together.

Story: My name is Olivia Johnson and I am 28 and I am originally from Mississippi, but I currently live in Georgia. I relocated to Georgia to pursue my Masters Degree from Clark Atlanta University and to get away from Mississippi. I never thought I would find true love and happiness again!  To make a long story short, I dated a guy for five years and had high hopes of being married by the age of 24. Well God had a different plan for our lives. I lost the boyfriend of five years in a car accident in 2013. He passed two months before my 23rd birthday and four months before my undergrad graduation. Struggling to finish school. I went through a depressing point in my life and I thought God was punishing me. I had my mind made up that I would never date again, didn’t want to be love nor did I want men talking to me. But to be honest I was afraid to date again. I had fear in my heart that God would take away any man that I decided to love.  In June of 2013, I moved away from Mississippi. I needed a fresh start and an escape. While in MS, I suffered everyday because I held in my pain and tears because nobody wanted to see me cry.  I moved to Georgia and enrolled in school. I didn’t have family nor friends there which I was good because I needed room to grieve. However, it took me longer than expected to heal. I found peace with his death in 2015. Though, I still wasn’t ready to date, I had school work on my mind so I didn’t have much time to think about dating. I worked two jobs, held an internship and went to school full time. I kept myself occupied so that I wouldn’t rest, dream nor cry.  I graduated from CAU in 2016 and of course I had a lot of free time on my hands. I felt myself becoming depressed again because I was accomplishing so many great things that he would never get the chance to see.  Moving forward, on December 31, 2016 I got on my knees and prayed to God! I told God, that “I forgave him and that I was tired of fighting His love off”! I knew I couldn’t have accomplished any of the things in my life without Him. I asked God for a fresh start, then I heard a voice say to me “travel, get out and see the world, if you continue to worry and be depress, you will soon join me”. That voice scared me and from that day forward; I began traveling the world.  In 2017, a friend introduced me to “Tinder”. I know what you are probably thinking “Tinder of course”. Honestly, I was afraid to talk to someone over the internet after all the horrible things I had seen on TV. Especially “catfish”, but it had been four years since I last went out on a date.  I didn’t know how to date, love, flirt or accept compliments. So, I thought to myself “why not”, “it’s not like I’m going to meet him anyway”.  Well, guess what, we met up! Yes, I met my fiancé on Tinder! Yes, he was my first match! No, I didn’t think he was cute but something said swipe right! Lol  Each day I would come home from work and he would be my first match, but I didn’t want to swipe left. Lol. So I would close the app until a different match popped up. Unfortunately, I was only able to bypass him three times. Lol.  So, I decided to give it a try and just swipe right! Since, God was clearly trying to tell me something! I thought to myself, “Ok God, I will not decline this blessing but make it count”When I swiped, it said he”super liked” me. Lol Well God obviously got to him first! Lol  He messaged me and we started talking. He was the second person I talked to each morning after God of course. I knew, God had a plan for us because I am a daddy’s girl and nobody come before talking to him in the mornings, besides God. Lol. Ok, I know story became long lol but we started dating and the moment I laid my eyes on him in person, I knew he would become my husband. One night when he was asleep, I prayed over him and I asked God to show me if he’s my husband because I am scared to fall in love. While in the middle of the prayer he woke up and said “I love you” my mouth dropped and I started snoring because I didn’t know what to say. Lol GOD!!!!! Was my answer, he had answered my prayer when I did not expect him too. The next day, while driving to hear Travis Greene preach in Macon, GA he asked “baby, did you say I love you last night”?.  I replied by saying “no you did, I was praying over you and you yelled I love you”. He started crying, I thought something was wrong and he looked at me and said “I was afraid you wouldn’t love me back because you have everything I don’t, two degrees, no child, own place, working for the government and etc, but honestly I knew I loved you before I met you in person and it was love at first talk. ”Oh how I cried, because I loved him back but didn’t want to move without God’s say.  Moving forward a year later, he proposed to me on Easter, April 1, 2018. No April Fool’s joke, lol I’m getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is my story, my boyfriend/ fiancé waited on me and God saved him for me!!! Our wedding song is Travis Greene, “You Waited”. Yes, He waited on me, he drove hours to see me two to three weeks and he dealt with me calling him my deceased boyfriend name. What man does that??? I waited on him, I saved myself for my husband!!! God sent me my Boaz and sent him his Ruth. God and him called out my name and it’s Amazing Grace, that a girl like me, that didn’t want to be loved again and didn’t want to do meet and greets with guys, FOUND LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!  But GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  GOD BLESSED THE BROKEN ROAD THAT LEAD ME TO HIM.

Story: Little over 9 years ago I was set up for a prom date. My prom's theme was Disney. I decided before even having a date that I would create my own Cinderella Ball Gown. It didn't take me long to figure out I had actually found my real Prince Charming except he looked nothing like Prince Charming as he was a cowboy! The proposal was nothing fancy, but it was priceless to me. I was 100% surprised! I was sitting on the couch still in my pajamas, and he brought me pictures of engagement rings I had printed off the week prior asking what I liked about each one. I had printed these pictures off because I was trying to give him a hint, but I had no idea he already had my ring. He then pulled out a ring, and asked what I liked about that one. He then of course got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him! My Prince Charming has surprised me since the day he showed up for prom in a western tuxedo.

Story: As a die hard romantic, I am very fortunate to be marrying someone who loves the little things and the big surprises as much as I do. This has never been more evident than at our proposal. Under the impression that he was taking me to see a Shakespeare play in Chicago, I was excited for a fun day in the big city. Ethan told me that he had the whole day planned out for us, beginning with lunch reservations at a "very exclusive" restaurant. While we were walking out of the parking garage, he handed me an envelope which had stamped across it in red, "TOP SECRET" and I was told not to open it. Of course, I found this mildly infuriating since I don't like to be told what I can and cannot do. However, I played along and held the envelope as we walked toward our secret destination. Not the best at putting clues together apparently, I was still was oblivious as to what was coming. We walked up to a rather usual building with a red door and entered. Inside was a simple office and we were greeted by a man at a desk. This man appeared quite perplexed when we said we had reservations and insisted that this was not a restaurant. "But if it were..." the gentleman said with a smile, "you would have to prove you're not a spy." To prove our innocence, we were "scanned" as we were asked to perform silly acts. Specifically we had to stomp around like a bear and make bear noises. Little did I know that there was a camera recording our ridiculous actions... Suddenly, the bookcase slid over and we descended a stair case. At the bottom, we entered The Safe House (a spy themed restaurant if you hadn't yet picked up on the theme). Noon on a Saturday in Chicago meant that the restaurant was booked. Every chair was filled with individuals in trench coats, top hats, and fake mustaches. After we ordered appetizers and mimosas, Ethan led me to the middle of the restaurant to search for scavenger hunt clues in the restaurant menu- or so he let me believe initially. Rather, he finally let me open the "TOP SECRET" folder. Inside was a single sheet of paper. On it was a picture of Ethan, stamped over with the word "CONFIDENTIAL." The text included his name, job, marital status, known accomplices (his best friends), and crimes he was wanted for- my personal favorite was "corruption of the youth" since I call him my bad influence. As I finished reading, I looked up and as he dropped to one knee he asked, "your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take my hand in marriage." Mid-sobbing, I squeaked out a yes, put on the gorgeous Disney collection ring, and the whole restaurant began to applaud. At that moment, I looked out among the packed tables and finally noticed that he had secretly brought together almost 40 of our friends and family in spy costumes from across the country to be part of this life changing day. Even our respective best friends came from Hawaii and Pennsylvania to get to this funky little restaurant to be there for the best day of our lives thus far. Before my grandfather passed, he gave his blessing for Ethan and I. He loved spy and detective novels, so this was not only a fun and unique surprise, but also a nod to one of the men in my life whom I loved most. I cannot wait to marry the most kind, thoughtful, and over the top romantic man I have ever known. Any help with wedding costs we can receive is a blessing!

Story: My fiancé had been in the Navy for five long years. Throughout this time he was deployed for as long as 8 months at a time. Being without a person for that long is heartbreaking. Last week he signed his papers to officially be done serving. After that he took me to my parents house. After a long day of wine tasting and hanging out with the family, he got on one knee in front of everyone, and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I of course said yes. I am excited to never be apart from him ever again.

Story: My fiancée and I met at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska because we were both soldiers in the US Army. He PCSd to Ft. Hood while I was still stationed in AK. We did a long distance relationship for about 2 years. While he was deployed I gave birth to our son. I then PCSd to Germany where we both currently live. He proposed to me in Amsterdam with the help of some of our friends. I was totally shocked. We have been engaged about two years now and together for 6 yrs. I was hoping to have our wedding July 6, 2019 in my hometown of Rayne, Louisiana. I'm currently awaiting to see where I will be getting stationed next year, so it is hard to book a venue without knowing our next move. We are waiting to do it stateside because we want our family there. I am still in the US Army. We have 6 beautiful children. Anything to help us would be a blessing for our big day. Thank you.

Story: Mario and I are both active duty military servicing overseas. When we first met we didn’t get along very much. After a while, however, we got to know each other and realized that we had a lot in common. Eventually that commonality turned into interest and interest to like. We started dating a few months after really getting to know one another. Because we live in the UK traveling to places in Europe is fairly inexpensive. Mario would surprise me with weekend trips to Spain or Ireland and or other short distance trips that were cheap for the night. One day he asked me how I felt about taking a trip to Texas. At first I was reluctant. Texas has never been one of my favorite places and it would be so expensive to fly there. That’s why neither of us had been home in a long time. But he told me that he really missed his family and that he felt it was time that they met me. So I agreed and we took off for the states a few weeks later. We celebrated the new year and his birthday while we visited Mario’s home state. Near the end of the trip Mario said to me that he wanted to show me a place that he went to a lot as a kid. I said ok. He took me to a secret spot in the middle of downtown Houston. It was a secluded area full of trees. In the middle of the city but somehow far away from everything. I asked him what was so special about that particular spot. Mario told me that it was a place that he would go to when he was feeling down or alone. He said that it was full of bad memories and that it was always a bittersweet place to be. I asked him why on earth he wanted to show me such a sad place. I could see that he was nervous about something so I hugged him and said “it’s ok”. I thought that this bad place was giving him anxiety. He looked at me and said “I brought you here because I want to make new memories in this place. Good ones. I want to think of this place and smile.” Before I could ask him what he meant he was down on one knee with a ring in his hand. “Raven, will you please marry me?” He asked. I felt like I was in a dream. I asked “is this really happening?” just to be sure that the jet lag hadn’t caught up to me and caused me to spontaneously fall asleep. When he told me that this was really happening I suddenly couldn’t stand. I fell to my knees in front of him and covered him in kisses saying “yes” with every breath! Shortly after returning home we were both deployed so we have planned to have our wedding next summer. Thank you for reading.

Story: My fiance rented out a movie theatre and had all of our family and friends there in the audience. I walked into a pitch black movie theatre and sat down. My fiance made a video of all of our pics to music. In the video he had pics of my parents, grandmother, and his parents holding the engagement ring while Train's Marry Me played in the background. After the video, the lights turned on and he said, "In front of all our friends and family...will you marry me?" as he was down on one knee. There was not a dry eye in that movie theatre. It was the most amazing day of my life.

Si — me respondió.

Story: My finance (Mark) had always expressed me how important it was to take me to Colorado to go to the lake where his grandparents ashes were spread. Mark was extremely close to his grandfather and sacrificed many opportunities in his childhood to help care for him. Me being in the presence of them was something he spoke about often, he wanted us to meet. On May 4th I woke up in the most beautiful place I’ve ever traveled too, Estes Park, CO. The weather was beautiful and I was soaking it all up with my best friend. That morning Mark wanted to venture around the mountains. We traveled to that special place I’ve heard many stories about, with tears in our eyes and peace in our hearts we walked around the lake and I listed to mark tell stories of his grandfather and how he would be so proud of him and the love he would have for me. We stopped walking beside a stump and I stared out at the Beautifull scenery when doing so Mark got down on one knee and asked me if I would be his wife. Mark connected me to the special place in his heart and I couldn’t be more blessed to spend the rest of my life with this beautiful soul.

Story: Robert and I met via an online dating website and during our first phone conversation he vowed that we would go to San Diego Comic Con together, something I had always dreamed of doing. The next year he surprised me with a one day ticket to SDCC and we had an amazing time. The following year we got tickets for the whole weekend and were thrilled, we even decided to go all out and dress up. On our first day of the convention we met up with an old high school friend of Robert's who was also attending with her fiancee and who I was meeting for the first time. After the introductions Robert suggested that we get a picture under the iconic SDCC logo banner, which we did on our first year there as well. His friend Emily graciously agreed to take our picture and as we got in to position for the picture, Robert leaned over to whisper "I have a question to ask you, will you go to Comic Con with me for the rest of our lives?" Then he got down on one knee and opened the ring box and the whole convention hall began to clap for us. Of course I said yes!

Story: My wonderful fiancée proposed to me at a resort on the beach which is a very meaningful place for us. He took here for our first date and this place has always been served as neutral ground whenever we would have a fight. I would always say "just meet me at Newport " and once we would get there nothing else mattered but our love for each other. So he reserved a dinner for us which was "delayed". We waited for a whole at the hotel bar and all the while I was so upset that the restaurant was not sitting us at our reserved time. He then tells me after a while of waiting "Why don't we go wait in our room? " I was so surprised because I had only imagined we would be there just for dinner and going home. Needless to say I was very happy and practically prancing to the elevators. Once we got to the room and he opened the door, there were rose petals and candles making the most beautiful pathway into the room. There was a table set up with seafood dinner for two and a bottle of Dom Perignon on ice. There was another table with the champagne flutes and a delectable towers of appetizers. And then the rose petals make their way to another table that had straight candles that spelled out "Will You Marry Me?" He got down on one knee right beside the words and asked "Love of my life, will you marry me?" And through many tears of joy came out a soft whimpering "Yes baby, yes". Needless to say it was the most romantic and most wonderful night of my life.

Each of us witnessed the other in relationships that didn't last, but through it all we remained best friends. Then nearly 20 years later, we met up in New York City after not seeing one another in years. We haven't separated since. It's been 4 happy years. Fate brought us together and we were blessed with a miracle child. We decided that despite distance and time, we are meant to be. Story: What can I say from college sweethearts to 8 years later we have decided to "Tie The Knot"! We met at the 1st HBCU Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, with here Majoring in Biology and myself Information Technology. Diamond being from Cincinnati, Ohio & myself Baltimore, MD. We often wondered how we would make it work after graduation in 2013 even after the ceremony crying in the room together for an hour as we were about to part was to go home. After countless nights and timeless days we talked 24/7 as she went to Durham,NC to live with her sister and I worked back at home. Still going strong in the year of 2015 we decided to move together and live in Prince Georges County, MD, as I promised her I would help support her in finding a career here in EXPENSIVE MD. During that time span it was kind of difficult to support one another living in one of the most expensive counties in MD due to the fact I had a Job in Virginia and she in MD, we needed to find a middle ground. Fast forward, we never lost our faith in God, and continued to put our best foot forward and financially get things done! Nothing was easy as I can attest that funds were low and living paycheck to paycheck was not fun. On Thanksgiving of 2017, I decided to propose to Diamond in front of her family in Cincinnati with the blessings of her Dad & Mom because she barely got to go home for the holidays and to visit family. She was absolutely stunned ! She said YES! So that is how we ended up here. Pricing weddings and with a guest list of at least 150 due to the fact that she has family that needs to travel, we are both part of a fraternity and sorority. I am a High School football coach part time along with semi-pro baseball manager.  We have A LOT of people that would love to attend our wedding, but honestly financially we cannot afford to have the wedding of our dream and invite our most dearest friends and family. I can attest that myself have built a little debt that is prohibiting our process also which I am working hard to get rid of even finding another part time to help pay for the wedding Diamond deserves. She is the most Selfless, Caring, Loving person on Gods green earth. She goes above and beyond her way to accommodate and satisfy others to the best of her abilities without thinking twice! I feel as though my mishaps are prohibiting our big day and often feel so bad about it. Which is why I am here the opportunity for someone to assist us with wedding cost/planning would be a magnificent help and blessing there is nothing more in life that I want then to see her beautiful smile at a wedding of our dreams! Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter this contest and hopefully we hear from you guys soon! Love, The Soon to be Mitchell's!

Story: Jordan and I decided to celebrate his birthday weekend with his family in Roxboro. We drove up Friday afternoon and found out once we arrived that we had a reservation at La Cocina at 6:30. When we got there, Jordan’s family, along with the Craig’s and Gentry’s were there. Still, no clue because if you know these families, you know every Friday night is La Cocina night. After talking for a while, Jordan’s mother comes up and touches my shoulder for me to turn around. I look to my left and there stands my mom and both of my sisters. At this point, I am so confused. They said they came to celebrate Jordan’s birthday with us. Jordan and I get up and sit at the end of the table with them. After a few minutes, Jordan stands up and I knew at that point what he was about to ask me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Once I said yes, all of our family and friends along with those in the restaurant started clapping. Happiness filled my heart. La Cocina was the place Jordan and I first met a little over 4 years ago. For him to ask me in a place that’s so special to us as well as include both of our families was so amazing.

Story: I met my handsome fiancé 4 months before he was set to be stationed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska for 3 years (we are both from New Jersey). To both of our surprise, we fell deeply and madly in love during that short time and decided that distance could not change that. Even without any idea of when he would be returning home to visit, we decided it would be well worth the wait. We faced many obstacles as individuals and as a couple during this time, as him being an active duty army infantryman - there is always a worry about deployment or not getting leave to come home to visit. The first year he was away, he was unable to visit while I was busy with nursing school. 12 months apart left us both missing each other dearly but it only brought us that much closer. My fiancé Brian ended up surprising me for Christmas! He got my whole family in on it and flew home to celebrate with everyone and propose! On December 22, 2016 he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him while out to dinner with both of our families. It was such an amazing experience to share with all of our supportive and loving family. The love we have is something that comes once in a lifetime. Love does not know what distance is and it never will.

Story: To be honest, we never got a chance to have a proposal. My husband, then boyfriend asked my father for my hand in marriage when they went out for donuts. My father accepted the courtship. Sadly, before my husband could propose to me, my father blew it.During Christmas dinner that same day, my father announced to everyone that we were engaged!!! So my husband never was given the chance to propose to me. It all worked out and we've been married 8 happy years now. A few weeks after our "surprise" engagement, my then fiancee was to go on his first deployment. We went to the local courthouse and eloped the day before he deployed. We had nothing with us and I wore a blue sweater and jeans. A year later we had a traditional ceremony with everyone (picture above). After we left the restaurant he asked if I wanted to go for a walk around the Mill Pond, and I agreed to because I love walking around the Mill pond. It was a rainy, cold November night, so no one was around. Story: Jay and I have been dating for about 4 years. After the second year we started talking about getting engaged. He asked me to send him pictures of rings I liked around September 2016. For my birthday in February 2017 he surprised me with a Michele watch I wanted for over 10 years... I was so excited but at the same one surprised he spent that kind of money on a watch when he was saving for a ring.... then in June 2017 we went to the jewelry store and I picked out the center stone and band style, he said we were just getting ideas in person so I still didn’t know when he would be popping there question. For 4th of July weekend we took a plane trip to Atlanta, where he was born. Before leaving for this trip I told him I wanted to leave my Michele watch at home because I was nervous flying with a valuable item. He insisted I wore it there, so I did. 3 days into our trip we went to The Sundial restaurant for a beautiful dinner and this is when he proposed! I was texting my cousin a picture of the view from 72 stories high and when I turned around he was on one knee. I was completely shocked and found out later he rushed to have the ring made in time for the trip and actually had it on him the entire plane ride and every where we went the first 3 days with out me knowing! (And here I was worried about bringing my watch!) I definitely wasn’t expecting it and it was very exciting. We have spent the past 6 months planning our upcoming wedding and I couldn’t be happier to be spending the rest of my life with him.

Story: Our story begins with the fact that Hailey is not an easy person to surprise, and Cody is not an easy person to hide secrets. He loves giving gifts so much, he usually gets to excited to let them remain a secret. A week previously, Cody told Hailey that his aunt was to be in town, and he wanted to meet her for lunch. Hailey hadn't met her before, and Cody was really looking forward to it.Saturday morning came...It was a really baddd week for Hailey- work was hard, and emotionally exhausting- the last thing she wanted was to get dressed and find the energy to be happy to see someone. Cody woke her up in the morning, (far too early) with breakfast in bed. After breakfast, she promptly fell right back to sleep. Cody woke her up at noon, told her to get dressed- to which she whines about- Then actually helps her get dressed. They got in the car, and head to Avila beach. When they met up with Cody's aunt, they have a very quick drink and Cody's Aunt suggested taking a picture since it was such a beautiful day. Cody leads Hailey out on to the stone wall right next to the pier to take a picture. At that point, Hailey looks around to find out where Cody's Aunt had gone, and saw a friend of hers, with a video camera. Confused, she looked back at Cody and saw him getting down on one knee. She heared music start to play. The song was "Perfect Storm" by Brad Paisley. The song was Special to Hailey and Cody, as it was one that reminded Cody of Hailey early on in their relationship. Hailey had always thought she would be a calm, cool and collected person when she would be proposed to. Boy was she wrong! Blubbering like a baby, Cody asked her to marry him, and all she could say was "you surprised me!?"It was at that time that she heard clapping and cheering coming from the beach down below. She turned to look, and saw about 100 of her closest family and friends! Cody had invited all these people to witness their engagement. After hugs and kisses from all the people that came to be with them on that special day, they went down to the banquet hall that Cody had rented ahead of time to celebrate.

Story: Kind of a funny story, my boyfriend planned on asking me the next day after my parents came in to town from Milwaukee, but for some reason he got it in his head that I might say no so, he came up to the place where my sisters and I were having lunch after coming from the gym. So in my sweaty gym clothes and in front of my sisters and strangers he asked me. I said yes but this sweet guy in a bundle of nerves forgot the ring at home. So here I am in front of these strangers and my sisters and my guy had nothing to seal the deal with. LOL So the next day we arranged for my parents and his parents to have dinner together and as he was starting to ask me again he told his mother "mom you may want to get your phone out for this" she said "why" he said "mom just get your phone out" she says "why" again, so he says "forget it mom" and he started to ask me. She jumped up right as the ring come out and says "WAIT, LET ME GET MY PHONE ". The poor guy was so flustered he forgot what he was going to say. But I helped him along and just said "YES". That night though while we were alone he told me all the wonderful things he wanted to say to me at the dinner, he didn't have to though, I could see it all in his eyes.

Story: My fiancé and I have been together for 7 years, all starting when I was 17 and he was 19 going on 20. We first met through MySpace, which was obviously popular at the time, and from there we just kept talking. Then one night he came to my house and we sat talked until 4 in the morning and the rest is history. Fast forward 6 years, through multiple hard times and some of the greatest times, he surprised me with a trip to Disney World (he had me convinced we were going on a trip to Boston); I found this all out once we got to the airport. Once in Disney World, we spent the first few days going throughout the parks and then on June 8th we went to dinner at Cinderella’s Castle. We got all dressed up as it was our anniversary dinner (our actual anniversary is April 8th). So once we finished dinner and we’re getting ready for dessert, the music started changing signaling something was soon to happen. That was when I saw our waitress coming towards me with a white plate and a cover on top. She sat the plate in front of me and took the cover off and there was Cinderella’s glass slipper on the plate with rose petals. I then look to him and as he held my hand, after I asked what’s going in here, he looked at me and said “We’ve been together for 6 years...” and that’s all I heard because I completely lost it. The funniest thing that happened during that time was that my ring didn’t fit because I jammed my knuckle and my ring ended up being too small but it has since been fixed and we are set to be married on Saint Patrick’s Day (March 17th) this year. It was the best time of my life and next month will be even better!😍

Story: It was a Monday, my WORST day at work every week. I’m in meeting after meeting and I’m always getting home late. For some reason my coworker insisted that we were leaving at 5 o’clock that day, she “had somewhere to be” and encouraged me to leave too. I walked into my apartment around 5:25 pm and saw all of the downstairs furniture moved. There was a path made up of rose petals and playing cards leading from the door to the dining room table. On the table there was a note that read, “I don’t need 52 reasons, I only need one. Meet me where we first met. Hint: the stadium”Back-story: I’ve worked at the same minor-league baseball stadium part-time since I was 15 years old. Alex, my fiancé, started working there full-time 4 years ago. We are both in the production department so yes; we’re the crazy people on the field making you do the chicken dance during 7th inning stretch. It took us about 2 years of being friends to realize how perfect we were for each other. I contemplated changing my clothes and fixing my make-up but decided to jump in my car and race to the stadium (we only live 5 minutes away). Rose petals and playing cards led me into the box office (I was shaking), onto the elevator and into a skybox suite where our song was playing, pictures of us were displayed on the TVs and Alex was standing with a BEAUTIFUL ring, champagne and King and Ace playing cards (K&A) on the table. He wants me on his team forever and I said yes! At 6:30 most of our family and friends arrived for an engagement party. It was perfect.

Well long story short 28 years later we are now back together and we are still in love with each other more than you can know.  I love this man and I will always love this man. I just wish it didn't take so long for us to get back together. I hope that every one has a love story as wonderful as mine has turned out. Thank you.

Story: My sister and her fiance are an online dating success!! I'm so thrilled, as he maid of honor, to share the details of their love story. Rob and Laura met in January of 2015. Laura was in a long-term abusive relationship and Rob had been in love before, but they both knew there was something better out there. On their first date, Rob and Laura played trivia together at a local bar. When they won, the trivia host took their picture together-- the first picture of them as a couple. TWO Christmases later, Rob hunted down that photo and gifted it to Laura!! He is pure romance and Laura deserves every ounce of love he has to give her. While traveling abroad years ago, Rob saw a small compact mirror that spoke to him at a local market. He bought it and kept it for nearly a decade with plans to gift it to the woman of his dreams someday-- he gave that mirror to my sister after just one year of dating. These two are a perfect match! Rob is a psychoanalyst and Laura works in career-placement at a college in their hometown of Rochester. I guess I should mention, Rob and Laura are both huge fans of the TV sitcom, Friends!! For their engagement, Rob hid a small lobster stuffed-animal in the house and proposed to Laura, saying she was his 'lobster'; a line from the television show. Wedding planning has now begun and these two have shown more love and affection than ever. Thank you!

Story: We met in High School while I was an exchange student from Germany. We were young but so in love and we worked it out through two years of long distance and being over 5000 miles apart. I moved back to the US for college once I finished school in Germany, so we could finally be together. Last October, after 6.5 years of dating, he finally popped the question! It was totally unexpected and he even made me plan the date! We both had a day off and decided to go hiking in Door County right on the shore of Lake Michigan. It was gloomy and windy and absolutely perfect. It was just us two when he pulled out the box out of his jacket pocket. We will be getting married at the park where we got engaged and celebrate at a car museum, as he and his whole family loves cars! Our day will be unique and different, but perfect for us.

Story: My fiancé and I met when we were 16/17 years old. We had hung out by accident pretty much at a social gathering. From that moment on we became inseparable. Fast forward 7 years. My fiancé is from New Mexico. I am from California. She has a huge family. I have about 3 people in mine. I knew I wanted her family to be there when I proposed. I finally got the courage to buy a ring and get a plan set up. I opened a credit card to buy it, and knew I was ready when I finally had it in my pocket. We were going to be with her family a couple days after Christmas until after New Years. As a professional photographer I had planned it to be the night we got there in downtown Santa Fe, with the Christmas lights still hanging and the town lit up with the luminaries. The day we got there I had it all ready to go, when myself and my fiancé’s family. (Except her) got the flu. We were basically quarantined in this hotel room for days. I finally got out of bed when we had plans to go to a family reunion/late Christmas party. Everyone was there having a good time drinking and eating. They asked me if I would shoot photos of everyone for a scrapbook of everyone being in the same house together at the same time. Everyone was outside getting their photos taken. Finally everyone went inside and my then girlfriend asked if she could get some portraits taken by herself. I myself in half-sick half-kinda buzzed self got on one knee and said how about u wear this on your finger when we take pictures, will you marry me. She said yes and I got to take reaction photos as I slipped it on her finger. It’s been almost 2 months since but still feels like yesterday.

Story: It all started on an opening morning of late archery season when me and my girlfriends were out hunting. It had been a long day when we ran into some friends camp where I met Matt.  We began talking and ended up staying up all night around the campfire just sharing stories and have been together for three years. This last November he surprised me on a trip to Las Vegas to surprise my mom and grandma who were there. He got my grandma and my mom who are scared of heights to ride this ride called the Lynx. It was so awesome because you could see the whole city of Vegas , and then 525 feet in the air he asked me to marry him. This was by far the biggest surprise ever and made it even better that my grandma and mom where there.

Story: My boyfriend Christopher and I had been dating for 4 years. We met at a grocery store where we both worked and knew eachother for about 3 years before we started dating. As soon as we started talking we just kind of clicked! The very first date I had with Chris I ended up spending the night at his house, and actually had a seizure... probably one of the most embarrassing things that could have happened. I was absolutely mortified but he stuck with me though it all! We currently live together, and own a dog together. On December 2nd, 2017 chris and I were going to see a comedian in Philadelphia. We dropped off our puppy to be babysat because we actually had a few days to ourselves. I packed up our car with snacks, and drinks for our 3 hour drive. The entire 3 hours chris was very, very quiet which is unusual normally He is so talkative. I reached in the backseat of the car for some snacks for the ride, and he kept giving me the oddest looks, and kept asking “what are you doing” and I replied confused “getting a snack” I thought it was very weird. We finally got to the hotel unpacked our things and we were ready to start our day. We wanted to do some sight seeing in Philly, since we’ve never been. We ate cheesesteaks, and then wandered over to the liberty bell. There was a horse and carriage near the liberty bell. Chris insisted that we get on one and I was a little thrown off because that’s probably the first sentence I heard him say all day, I told him I didn’t want to get on the horse and carriage because I didn’t want to break the poor horses back. So Chris almost looked let down said okay well if there is one when we come back from the Liberty Bell we will get on it! We went and stood in line to see the liberty bell, and we had to go through security, immediately Chris started to freak out saying he wanted to get out of line, and I kept saying no, wondering why he kept acting so odd. So, we get through security see the liberty bell, and wander back to the horse and carriage. There was one horse and carriage on the side of the street Chris said okay we’re getting on! Before I could say no, we were on. The ride was a lot about the history of Philadelphia, and the tour guide was the absolute best she was so funny!! At the end Chris asked if the tour guide could take a picture for us, she got out on the side of the road and this asked the woman if she could take one from up top of the carriage. And there it came!! He got down on one knee, and proposed!! It had to be the best, most amazing feeling in the world!! And our tour guide got some amazing pictures!! I finally found out why he had Not been talking, he was nervous, and trying to make it absolutely perfect!! He was asking me to get out of the line at the Liberty Bell because he had the ring in his pocket, and he thought that when he sent it though the metal detector it would have went off and everything would have been ruined!

Story: We met in October of 2015 at Coyote Joes. I didn’t know what to think about him but we exchanged numbers. We decided to go to a movie the following Tuesday. I drove and on the way home from the movie there was a spider in my car and we argued over who was going to kill it, it escaped before we could kill it. We continued to go out on dates and then five months later he asked me out. I graduated college and got a job close to where he lived. In June of 2017 we bought a house and then a week later we got a puppy. In July we were going to the beach to see a friend and stopped at his friends to see them and let the puppy go on the beach. When we were walking the puppy he got down on his knee, in the water because the sand was too hot, and asked me to be his wife. So our love story continues!

Story: I got engaged to my beloved of 4 years now, on Feb. 8, 2018. He took me to Looking Glass Falls, a huge waterfall in the middle of winter, thankfully on a sunny day. We were heading on our vacation, and we took a detour near Asheville. He kept asking me if I knew where we were going, I didn't. So we pulled off on the side of the road to change. I will admit changing into a white dress my best friend got me on the side of the road is a bit funny. And yes I kept my tennis shoes on. He then traveled into Pisgah National Forest, and we stopped by this huge 60 foot water fall. Thankfully not a busy day, so we walked down. And then it happened. He took my hands and said the magic words, and I said yes, all you had to do was ask goofball. Which earned me a laugh, and with a few quick pictures on my selfie stick, as it is known to the world. Might not be the most romantic, but it was totally us.

Story: Stefan and I met in a rather ironic way. My best friend was dating his best friend! Stefan had run into my bestie Katie after not seeing her for over a decade sitting on an airplane weeks prior before even knowing she was dating his friend Trace at the time. Katie and Stefan high school friends from back home in San Francisco. Although the best friends did not work out- five years later and an engagement we sure did! Back in the day we would regularly spend time on the rooftop of the Tower 23 Hotel in Pacific Beach, San Diego overlooking the ocean. This quickly became our Sunday "spot" to catch the sunsets. Over the years we went a little less, so at a getaway in Palm Springs we decided our next date night would be back there. I got off work on my regular Wednesday, went home and put on a new dress I had picked up on the way home. We had an amazing candlelit dinner at the hotel restaurant and then proceeded upstairs to our favorite spot by the fire. I made a comment when we got to the fireplace upstairs how we weren't sitting in our usual spot and should move on over. The significance of this spot is where we both remembered we fell in love with each other talking about our spirituality and God. It was the first time I had ever had such a connection with someone in that way despite all the amazing other things we had going on early on. We carried into conversation about our future. He made a comment about how one day when I'm his "wife" - which was not a usual word in his vocabulary (lol) and before I knew it he was down on a knee! What made this more beautiful was the fact we were alone, no photographers or hotels guests near by. I think I cried for a minute before I responded and accepted the BEAUTIFUL pear shaped ring that was glistening in the fire light. To make the evening even more sweet he pretended we'd walk around the hotel to catch our breath but I quickly discovered he had a room key in his hand. He led me to an ocean front suite decorated in beautiful flowers and a nice bottle of champagne for us. We called our best friends and stayed up late still quite in shock that this moment we'd both been hoping for one day was here. We met up with his daughters, 5 & 8 the next morning over breakfast to tell them the special news. All happy tears! <3

Story: My husband to be, Niko, and I met in October 2015 on a cabin trip. We both had the same group of friends and had never really met until that day. I had arrived to the cabin late and went into the back yard and it was steep and muddy. Niko didn't even know me and ran up the hill to give me his hand to help me down the muddy walk. As soon as I put my hand in his I knew it was special. We talked all night and that was history! We fell in love quickly and I knew he was the one for me. He was away at a music festival when I came to the realization that I wanted to propose to him. It was like everything clicked. I have always been a strong independent woman and asking him to marry me felt like the cherry on top of our already beautiful life. I knew that I wanted it to be a bit over the top and special. We always loved the National Treasure movies and loved pretending things were crazy mysteries. I decided that I would plan a scavenger hunt for him. I bought a decoder ring and spent hours writing him coded clues. I planned with our family and friends so that each clue would take him to a different part of Pittsburgh where we had a special moment, our first date, our anniversary, etc. Our family and friends were waiting at each stop to give him the next clue when he got there. I made him canoli pancakes in the morning and gave him his first clue. He was 100% clueless and had no idea what my end game was. Luckily he trusted me and took off on his journey with his best friends. While he did that I got ready with my best friends and went to the last destination on the scavenger hunt, a beautiful scenic spot that overlooks Pittsburgh. Waiting for him to arrive with my family and friends was unbearable! When he finally got there it was the happiest I have ever been. I gave him flowers and got down on one knee and proposed with the coolest dinosaur bone, and meteorite ring that I purchased for him. HE SAID YES! And I am officially the happiest woman on earth! I can't wait for October 20th so that I can say "I DO"!

Story: When I met my fiancé, Tyler, we did everything completely differently than I’ve ever done with anyone else. He lived two hours away from me, and we decided to meet up while he was working near Cincinnati where I live. We had dinner in our work clothes and then spent two hours driving him back to his almost empty two bedroom apartment, taking the time to learn about one another and get comfortable with each other along the way. And every weekend from that point on, I made the drive from Cincinnati to Columbus to spend my days with him. Due to his epilepsy, he did not have a license at the time, so we built our relationship around that commitment and knew that every mile was worth being together. He finally moved to Cincinnati to be with me and close the distance that kept us from taking or relationship further. Since then, we’ve created a life together. We have a cat, an apartment, and big plans for our future. We’ve supported each other’s dreams and been there to keep one another focused. I wasn’t expecting him to propose to me when he did. We were rebuilding our finances up after some struggles, and I never expected him to have the money for a ring. Little did I know, he was doing side work and saving up as much extra money as he could. One day, he decided to take me out for a nice date. We hadn’t had a date night in a while, and so we took the time to dress as nicely as we could and head downtown Cincinnati for dinner. Little did we know, that weekend was the Cinci Beer Fest at Fountain Square, so the Square was crawling with loud, smelly drunk people. Tyler had to think quickly about what we would do. We decided to get some amazing steaks at Rockbottom Brewery. After finishing dinner, we decided to walk around the city. We walked across the Purple People Bridge over the Ohio River, enjoying the sunset. We found a quiet place with a beautiful view of the city and the sunset over the skyline and stopped to take photos. And as I was turned away from him, snapping a picture of the landscape, he got down on one knee with the ring and asked me to be his wife. I could barely answer him through the tears, but of course I said yes. I had a smile stretched across my face the rest of the night as we walked hand in hand, talking about our wedding back to the car.

Story: In November of 2016 I lost my father suddenly to an unexpected heart attack. And all he ever wanted was my boyfriend of 7 years to propose. A week after my father passed by now my fiancé picked up the ring he had bought just before he passed. And on Christmas Eve in front of both our families he finally proposed! I know Christmas Eve proposals are so cliché but I’ve waited 7 years and I’m so happy ❤️❤️

Story: Brian and I met when we were in middle school and remained friends while we went through the majority of high school. His senior year, we reuinted and went on a couple of dates. I knew he was the one the first time I met him. We started dating on May 1st, 2015. Our faith and patience have been tested many times but there’s no one else I’d rather be with. On October 29th, 2016 he gave me a promise ring. A promise to never give up on us. On Christmas morning, I opened a present with a picture of him giving me my promise ring that had “Remember This?” written across it. When I put the picture down, he was on his knee. It was perfect in everyway. He is perfect in every way. I cannot wait to be his wife!

Story: Travis and I got engaged on our 3 year anniversary where our first date was. He got our whole family and close friends together and they hid behind a building while he got down on one knee, in front of a roaring river in a park. Once I said I do, our family and close friends came out behind the building with a camera rolling and my sister flew in from LA to be there. It was a wonderful memorable proposal having everyone I loved there.

However, on that particular Christmas I had an extremely big box that was multiple boxes and packages that lead down to a photo book. We have been dating since high school so there were photos from the past 7 years within the book. On the very last page was a photo of my fiancé in from of the Christmas tree asking me to marry him.

Story: Justin and I met from mutual friends. His best friend had just passed away months before. He started spending a lot of time with that best friends dad after him passing. His friends dad did karaoke dj'ing at a local bar and grill in my hometown. He decided to bring Justin one night and invited me along, so it was kind of like a blind date. We had no clue what the match-maker had up his sleeve. Justin was shy and didn't want to get on stage to sing karaoke, but I told him he could pick the song and I would song with him. He decided to pick a Hank Williams Jr.. We sung and just instantly connected. A few weeks later, he got my number from his best friends dad and we started talking. We went on our first "official" date and the rest is history. In August, Justin proposed to me before going to see Hank Williams Jr. in concert that night (ironic, right). He had planned my engagement with my best friend for weeks secretly. I had no clue. He included his family and mine, just like I wanted. I couldn't imagine it any other way. The proposal happened at the house that we are going to be living in when we get married. He had the entire back patio decorated in candles, flowers, and signs. We are excited to start planning a wedding and can't wait for September to be here! We are thrilled.

Story: We went out to eat with friends and I was not expecting much after dinner. We went to a rooftop hotel party and when the music stopped, he got on one knee in front of everyone and proposed to me. The rooftop of the hotel had a nice city view of Raleigh. He had the cutest ring box, burgundy and a green light shining over the ring. I cried and responded yes and we then told the good news to his parents through Facetime from Iphone while at the Rooftop party.

Story: So- he bought an engagement ring with the children's (his two and my one) birthstones. After he showed it to his 7 year old daughter to see what she thought, she immediately ran to me in the other room- Dad and brother in tow. She proposed for him in an excited gush of "Will you Marry our Daddy?" Proudly presenting her father in “ta da” hand gestures who is now on one knee. I’m pretty sure he may have had other plans and perhaps another time, but we all agree she proposed for Daddy perfectly!

Story: On what I thought, was about to be an ordinary Saturday morning during hunting season just turned out to be the best day of my life. Since he FINALLY killed the "big 8" yesterday (that he's been hunting since September) I was thinking this would be the first morning in a while we could be lazy, make pancakes and drink coffee. Howeverrrr, Mr. Compton woke up with a totally different game plan.... He woke up with ONE thing on his mind....hunting. Deer hunting. Man was I wrong. He said he wanted to get a few things done after waking up... go put corn out and go shoot the gun to make sure it was on target (which super confused me bc making sure your guns are on target I've learned is something you wanna do at the BEGINNING of hunting season). After getting over myself and putting my frustration behind me I gave up my idea of a lazy Saturday morning and gave in to going shooting with him. He went to "put corn out" and I ran to the grocery store to pick up a few things....the whole time i was there i was feeling pretty guilty about being such a diva. I decided to go home and write an "I'm sorry" letter before he got back. When he got home and read my note he seemed to REALLY take it to heart and came and gave me to biggest hug and sweetest kiss. So now, on the way to shoot we go....we get there and he sets ME up to shoot. I asked him several times why I was the one shooting but, he never answered me lol. After getting me set up with the shot gun not far from the target and as soon as I shot, glass shattered to reveal the most exciting question I'd ever been asked! I turned around not sure if what I was reading was real life and, the MAN OF MY DREAMS was down on one knee with the most perfect ring and I couldn't feel more blessed to get to be his wife! I LOVE YOU BARNEY JOE COMPTON II #heputaringonit Oh and, to ALL the people who knew.... Because apparently it was quite a few, great job on keeping the secret. I had NO idea! 😍😍😍

Story: Travis and I have been friends since high school, although we didn’t start dating until my freshman year of college, in 2011. (Between you and I, I always had a crush on him and just knew that one day, he would be my husband!) After a 3 year long-distance relationship, Travis and I worked for the next year at saving up so that we would be able to move in with one another. Travis and I purchased a home in 2015 and this crazy life finally started to slow down for us. We adopted 3 pets (2 cats and a dog) and had created a cozy little life with one another. Sadly, one thing was missing - THE RING! That changed on November 16, 2016! I had taken the day off of work to get some things done around the house! (There never seems to be enough time to do all the things we need to do!) Travis works in law enforcement and had worked a night shift the night before. Normally, he sleeps until about 2 or 3 when working night shift. All of a sudden, I heard him come out of the bedroom around 9:30 a.m. - he didn’t look like he had slept a bit! I was in the middle of mopping the floors and he suggested I stop so that we could go run some errands. Oddly enough, he is the one that had been nagging me about the floors! While I thought this was weird, I, of course, tossed the mop down (ugh - mopping!) and started to get ready for the day! During the time I was getting ready, Travis kept checking in on me to “see what time I’d be ready” and to let me know that what I had picked out to wear looked “perfect.” (He has the sweetest heart but this was so unlike him!) I knew something was off! Afterward, I worked my way into the kitchen to gather my car keys to head out and Travis told me to “hang on a minute” and he’d be right back. He came back into the kitchen and was shaking like a leaf! Secretly, I knew what was going on! (I mean, I had been waiting for this day for years!) He proceeded to get down on one knee and explain to me why he wanted me to be his wife. It didn’t take much convincing - I said “yes!” Like every little girl does, I dreamed of an extravagant proposal. You know, the kind of proposals you see on TV. You may read that last sentence and think I was disappointed at the proposal but you’d be incredibly wrong. While he didn’t plan a vacation proposal or make reservations at a fancy restaurant or have a dozen roses waiting for me, his proposal meant more to me than any of those things could ever mean. He proposed in the middle of our kitchen - the heart of our home. A home that we had made ours for the last 2 years; a place that holds a lot of special memories for the two of us. I couldn’t have asked for more and I hope this uncomplicated, undemanding, and affectionate proposal reflects what our marriage will be. Simple and so full of love. We cannot wait to become husband and wife on April 28, 2018 at Mountain View Farm!

Story: Christopher and I went on our first date just two days before he had to undergo a ten-hour surgery to remove a six-pound tumor and one of his kidneys. Our second “date” was a hospital visit in which I met his mother. Needless to say, our relationship escalated much more quickly than I ever would have expected. We were faced with adversity in the beginning stages of our relationship, which really set the stage for us to truly love and care for each other in good times, and in bad. It did not take us long to realize that we shared a deep connection and that we were meant to be together. Fast forward a year and a half; Christopher and I decided to spend his last summer off with a month long European adventure. We had plans to explore Italy, see Austria, and visit friends in Germany. One of our stops was in Lake Como, a beautiful lake nestled amongst the Alps in Northern Italy. I was very excited about this stop because my best friend had recommended it because of its beauty. Christopher told me that he had scheduled a boat tour of the lake, which I was really looking forward to because I couldn’t wait to be in the middle of the lake and look up and see the gigantic mountains towering around us. I have to admit, I was also a tiny bit excited to be able to look for George Clooney’s house on the lake and the Villa where John Legend and Chrissy Tiegen got married. When we arrived at the dock for the boat tour, the lady who checked us in let us know that we were the only people to sign up for the tour at that time, so we would be all by ourselves. I was thrilled! Little did I know, that was all a part of the plan. We got on the boat, and we immediately went out to the middle of the lake, where we had a beautiful view of Bellagio and the snow capped mountains it faces. I had mentioned that I wanted a photo of us in front of those mountains before, but Chris suggested that we wait to do it when we were on the boat. So, here we were, and Chris asked the boat driver to take our photo. It was hilarious. The boat driver didn’t understand that we wanted the mountains behind us and for about two minutes Christopher tried to tell him to turn the boat around, during which time Christopher became noticeably irritated. But then, when the boat finally got turned the way we wanted it, we posed for our picture and the next thing I knew Christopher was down on one knee telling me he loved me and asking me to marry him! It was amazing. The photos were stunning. We were able to celebrate with Champagne during the rest of our boat ride around Lake Como. Our stay at Lake Como was amazing, and definitely unforgettable.
